One of our OG Originals, Sophie returns for Season 26/27 as part of our 2nd Grade playing group - and five seasons in, her game has never looked better. A top order batter who can score 50s in her sleep, Sophie is one of the most dependable players in our squad. If the game is on the line and you need someone out in the middle, Sophie is exactly who you want walking through the gate. Add a handy spin bowling option that has changed the course of more than a few games, and you have one of the most complete players across our squads.

An OG Original whose evolution as a cricketer has been a joy to watch. We're glad she's still ours. 🙌

Josey joins us for Season 26/27 as part of our broader Brewer development group - and she arrives with a remarkable story already behind her. A wicket keeper and leg spinner from Glen Innes, Josey plays in the Armidale local cricket comps, has represented North West at the CHS Opens Girls Cricket Carnival, and Central North at 16s Country Champs.

Her commute to away games will be about 7.5 to 8 hours. Each way. If that doesn't tell you everything about her commitment to the game, nothing will.

Welcome back, Lily! 🏏

Some records speak for themselves. Last season, Lily R. was the top run scorer across the entire Brewer competition - and along the way, she became only the second player in Greater Hunter Coast history to score a century, following in the footsteps of Caoimhe Bray (who topped the Brewer run scoring charts just a couple of seasons ago). 💯

Having represented Country NSW at U16 Nationals and U15 State Challenge, and having played both U16 and U19 Country Champs for Newcastle, Lily arrives with a solid foundation of rep experience and a genuine hunger to keep improving. A Newcastle City Cricket Club product via Dubbo, she's the kind of player who makes things happen with the bat or ball in her hand.

Last season ended in a semi-final. This season, she wants to go further - and she's exactly the kind of player who can help make that happen.

Welcome back, Emma-Jayne! 🏏

Known to everyone at GHC simply as Jayno, Emma-Jayne returns for Season 26/27 as part of our 2nd Grade playing group - and she is one of the most experienced campaigners in our squad.

An off-spinner who can be brutally economical and take wickets when it matters most, Jayno represents NSW Country at Open Women's level with the Bush Breakers - and she brings every bit of that experience onto the field every single game she plays.

She is also, by near-unanimous agreement among our 2nd Grade playing group, the one they want with the ball in a super over. That's not a coincidence. That's a career built on being the person you trust when it counts.

And off the field? Don't take your eyes off her. She will make you laugh without even trying - even with her serious face on. A wonderful person, a proud mum, and someone who makes every dressing room better for having her in it.

Welcome back, Chrissy! 🏏🏑

Chrissy returns for Season 26/27 as a key part of our Brewer playing group - and she might just be one of the most exciting young dual-athletes in regional NSW right now.

A handy pace bowler who whips it in hard and fast, Chrissy can also score 50s in the blink of an eye. She went viral last season for a ramp shot off a free hit that had everyone talking - and something tells us Season 26/27 will add a few more highlights to the reel.

On the cricket field she represents Country NSW at U16s level. Off it, she has just represented NSW at U16 Hockey Nationals - and is firmly on the elite pathway in both sports. Two codes, one seriously talented athlete.

We're glad cricket gets a share of her. 🙌

One of our OG Originals, Layla returns for Season 26/27 as part of our 2nd Grade playing group - and when we say she bowls fast, we mean FAST!🚀

A genuine pace bowler who can trouble any batting lineup, Layla is also one of those batters who walks out with a plan - and the plan is always the same. She hits bombs. Some of the sweetest sixes in premier cricket have come off Layla's bat, and when she's at the crease, you don't need to call the bomb squad. It's just part of her game. Impact player personified. 💥

This season she takes another big step, joining the U19 NSW Country State squad - a reward for years of hard work and a relentless focus on improving her game. We are incredibly proud of her.
