🏏 REP SEASON IS HERE

The NSW U19 Country Championships get underway in Tamworth next Saturday, and the Crushers are everywhere you look.

We have players pulling on the colours of Newcastle, Central North, Central Coast and North Coast, and coaches in amongst the northern zone teams as well. A strong contingent, right across the board.

Good luck to every one of you. Go well, play hard, and enjoy the week. We'll be watching.

And rep season starting means that the 2026/27 NSW Premier Cricket season is just around the corner - kicking off just three weeks from today.

The countdown is on. 💙💛

🔥 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 🔥

We’re kicking off our first Plays of the Week for the 2026/27 season with a great team effort from our trial game against Sydney Uni on Saturday.

Flik & Molly put on 50 runs in the last 5 overs of our second game on Saturday, showing exactly what can happen when you keep it simple and back your game. And a great example of knowing your partner well. This pair have found themselves on teams together for a number of years and very clearly leaned into that understanding to build the partnership and accelerate at the end of the innings.

A nice way to prepare for the season ahead!

A big thank you to Derham Houston Lawyers for supporting Emma Jayne Howe as her Player Partner for the 2026/27 season.

Jayno is an important part of our Crushers squad, and we greatly appreciate having Derham Houston Lawyers behind her as she continues her Premier Cricket journey as the heart and soul of our 2nd Grade team.

Player Partnerships provide direct support to our players and help reduce some of the costs involved in playing Premier Cricket, particularly considering the distances that our players cover in travel throughout the season.

🏏 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦 🏏

A great day of cricket against a strong Sydney University team, including a number of their 1st Grade players.

With a mix of experienced players and some of our younger players new to Premier Cricket, it was a terrific opportunity to test ourselves against quality opposition.

The morning wicket proved a little tricky and unpredictable - which is exactly what early season wickets will do - with Julia the pick of our batters as the only player to reach double figures. Our bowlers shared the wickets around, with six of them picking up a wicket each.

After lunch, the wicket had baked out a little and the runs started to flow. Flik and Molly gave our younger players a mini T20 masterclass, combining to add 50 runs in the final five overs.

Josey took the only two wickets of the afternoon - definitely worth the trip down from Glen Innes! She showed plenty of promise as an exciting young addition to our Brewer squad this season.

A really enjoyable and valuable hit-out as we build towards the season.

A huge thank you, as always, to the very generous Beresfield Memorial Cricket Club, who could not have done more to make the day such a positive experience for all of our players.

And thanks to Sydney Uni for the contest. We look forward to catching up again during the season, when hopefully we can go toe to toe in our respective grades and continue our friendly rivalry.

Tomorrow we get our first chance to put pre-season into practice.

After some solid training, hard work and preparation, it’s time to get out in the middle and see where we’re at.

We have a mix of 2nd Grade and Brewer to meet a strong Sydney University team in two T20 trial games, starting at 9.30am at Lindsay Memorial Oval.

A big thank you to Beresfield Memorial Cricket Club for the great work they do each year getting wickets up and running for pre-season. It makes a real difference to clubs like ours preparing for the season ahead.

Both Molly and Evie bring strong leadership qualities, a genuine commitment to their teammates and a determination to get the best out of those around them.

After missing most of last season, both come into Season 2026/27 with plenty to prove and a real hunger for success. They know what it takes to compete at this level, and we’re looking forward to seeing them lead from the front.

For Molly, her commitment to the group last season, even when she couldn’t take the field, showed the type of leader she is. She remained invested in the team and developed a strong understanding of how to help get the best out of those around her.

Evie brings the same focus on creating a positive, supportive environment where players can play with confidence, enjoy their cricket and challenge themselves.

Together, Molly and Evie will play an important role in shaping the culture of their teams and setting the standard for what it means to be a Crusher.

Congratulations Molly and Evie. We’re looking forward to seeing you both back on the field and leading the way in 2026/27. 💙💛

We’re pleased to announce our Brewer Shield squad for the 2026/27 NSW Women’s Premier Cricket season.

Our returning players are ready to go one better after reaching last season’s Semi-Final, while a strong group of up and coming players provides plenty of depth and competition for places across our reserves and development squad.

With opportunities likely to come up throughout the season, we’re looking forward to seeing what our nextgen players can do, alongside the experience of our returning squad.

Some of our Brewer players will also be in action in this weekend’s trial match, as we put the final pieces in place ahead of the season.

We’ll also be taking an U18 team to the Country to Coast carnival in Kempsey over the October long weekend.

Round 1 of the 2026/27 Premier Cricket Competition gets underway Sunday 11 October.

We’re pleased to announce our 2nd Grade squad for the 2026/27 NSW Women’s Premier Cricket season.

There’s a strong mix of returning players and new faces in the group, with plenty of hard work already put in through pre-season.

With trial matches this weekend and the season getting underway on Sunday 11 October, it’s almost time to put the plans into action.

There is a strong and determined focus across the group this season, with a steely resolve to push for finals.
