Monash Soccer Club (est. 1958) is a Newborough based soccer team currently competing in the LVSL

Established in 1958 Monash Wolves Soccer Club have a proud heritage of Soccer within the Latrobe Valley. As League Contenders each year, we pride ourselves on being a family friendly sports team for those who enjoy the sport. ⚫️ Our Reserves are in action tomorrow in the Shopwell Trophy Cup Grand Final hosted at Newborough.

🟡 Against an Olympians side who has pushed us in both outings this year, the game is sure to be a cracker!

⚫️ Lets get as many Monash supporters there as possible as the boys attempt to claim the double!

⚽️🏆CUP SEMI FINAL RESULTS🏆⚽️

⚫️ All 4 teams in action with 3 unfortunately getting knocked out.

🟡 Seniors went down 1-0 early but then gained some control on the game and attacked well but didn’t take their chances. Second half was much the same with Sale finding a scrappy 2nd goal before we found a late goal to give us hope after hitting the post multiple times. Unfortunately we ran out of time, 1-2 loss. End of the season for the boys.

⚫️ Reserves powered through to the grand final knocking out the current cup winners, Sale. Under the pump early, our defence held strong before we got 2 quick goals. Second half was much the same before a horrific head clash halted the game as Ryan Harvey was taken to hospital (best wishes for a speedy recovery, and also to Sales Joel Hector) At the restart we put the game to bed through our coach. 3-0 win and into the Grand Final!

🟡 The senior women were competitive in patches and had chances to score but couldn’t capitalize, going down 0-6.

⚫️ 3rd division had a tough day going down 0-6 to Olympians ending what has been a massive season of improvement!

🟡 Reserves grand final is at Newborough, 1PM kick off. Lets get as much yellow and black there as possible!

Just a little reminder that our MiniRoos & Junior Presentation Day is TOMORROW!

⏰ 10:00am – 1:00pm

🏆 Presentations kick off at 10:30am, followed by food and drinks provided by the club, and then we’ll finish off the day with our Colour Fun Run & soccer obstacle course! 🌈⚽️

👕 For the Colour Fun Run:
White or light-coloured clothes will make all that colour really stand out! Older clothes and shoes are probably a good idea too.

Please also bring:
🌈 A change of clothes
🧺 A towel
💧 A labelled drink bottle
