We asked our members to describe Chris Wilson Fitness Studio in just one word.

The answers were all different, but they shared one thing in common ….. PEOPLE.

Our community has often been described as a place of support, family and where you achieve great things. Some people like to call it their home away from home 🙌

These aren’t words we wrote ourselves - they came directly from the people who train with us every week.

At CWFS, we’re proud of our programming, coaching and studios, but what makes this place truly special is the incredible community that walks through our doors every day.

EVEREST 2027 PROJECT: BEYOND LIMITS ✨

In February 2027, our community will travel to Nepal with the goal of taking at least 10 CWFS members or friends to Everest Base Camp while raising $100,000 for Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This isn’t a race or an extreme fitness challenge. It’s an experience, a bucket-list item and a journey and achievement you will remember for the rest of your life.

Everest Base Camp is about consistency, mindset and preparation - the same things we build every week inside the studio. If you currently attend PT or classes 3-4 times per week, you already have a great foundation to begin preparing for this adventure 🙌

Nepal Trip Dates (14 days)
Arrive in Nepal: Saturday 27th February 2027
Depart Nepal: Friday 12th March 2027

To support everyone, we will be hosting four community training sessions from November through to February, including local hikes and challenges such as Jacob’s Ladder, Bells Rapids and more. We will also provide you with a 3-month training plan.

Everest Base Camp Trek:
USD $1,400 per person (Approx. $2,015 AUD)

Your trip includes:
✓ Airport transfers
✓ 2 nights accommodation in Kathmandu
✓ Domestic flights Kathmandu – Lukla return
✓ All accommodation during the trek
✓ Breakfast, lunch & dinner during the trek
✓ Experienced local guides & porters
✓ Permits, government fees & trekking support

Not included: International flights, travel insurance, Nepal visa and personal expenses.

Meet Coach Rad.

Before coaching at Chris Wilson Fitness Studio, Rad’s journey looked a little different.

Originally from Sydney, his background in acting and performing taught him the importance of confidence, connection and bringing energy into every room.

Today, he brings those same qualities to coaching - helping members move better, get stronger and believe in themselves.

Because great coaching isn’t just about sets, reps and exercises - it’s about understanding people.

We’re proud to have Rad as part of our CWFS team and community 🙏✨

Strength & Sets is our technique-focused class designed to help you lift with confidence, improve movement quality and progressively get stronger.

Expect more sets, fewer reps - think 5 sets of 5 reps rather than high-volume cardio. Every lift is intentional, giving you time to focus on technique, build strength and challenge your capabilities.

SLED PUSH & PULL 🔥

The sled push and pull is one of the most effective exercises you can do for building total-body strength, leg power and cardiovascular endurance.

A few tips from Coach Rad:

1. Stay low with a strong body position
2. Drive through your legs with short, powerful steps
3. Keep your core braced throughout
4. Don’t rush - focus on consistent pressure and good technique.
5. On the pull, use your legs as much as your arms and keep moving backwards with control.

Whether you’re training for fitness events, improving athletic performance, or simply getting stronger for everyday life, mastering the sled will give you great benefits.

CW GAMES 🏆

This weekend, 50 members from across our four studios came together for the inaugural CW Games.

The event sold out in just 30 hours, but what made the day special wasn’t the workouts, scores or podium finishes.

It was watching our values come to life.

People First - members supporting one another, celebrating wins and helping each other through challenges.

Excellence in Everything - every athlete giving their best effort, regardless of experience or fitness level and the attention to detail our team put in to make this happen.

Community & Contribution - teammates becoming friends, spectators becoming supporters and our community coming together for something bigger than fitness.

From first-time competitors stepping outside their comfort zone to our more competitive members chasing the leaderboard, the energy throughout the day was incredible.

Over the years, we’ve learnt that people come for the training, but they stay for the people. The CW Games was a celebration of everything that makes our community special ✨

A huge thank you to every competitor, coach, volunteer, family member and supporter who made the day one to remember.

We’re already looking forward to the next one - 2.0.

Not entirely sure what it means - but somehow it works.

At Chris Wilson Fitness Studio, our coaching cues are world-class, highly technical and occasionally make absolutely no sense 😂

One thing’s for sure - Sage keeps classes fun, members moving well and everyone achieving excellence.

CW GAMES THIS SATURDAY 🔥🔥

The workouts are here - get EXCITED!

First things first: this is not CrossFit, it’s not the Olympics and it’s definitely not life or death 😂

The CW Games is simply a fun, in-house fitness competition designed for all levels, with a focus on community, teamwork and having a great afternoon together.

We have 50 members competing across teams of three, with a mix of first-timers, 6am warriors, seasoned athletes and of course, a few young guns who are taking it very seriously 😉

Chris said:
“The response has been excellent. The event sold out in the first 30 hours and it’s what community is all about. We have people of all levels competing, having fun and of course the young guns taking it seriously haha. Our community is special and we look forward to a fun day at the CW Games. Members have been asking for an event like this for some time and, alongside our Wellness Series workshops, HYROX Sims and community events, we’re continuing to elevate the health, fitness and wellness event experience in Perth.”

Family, friends and spectators are all welcome to come down, cheer loudly and soak up the atmosphere 😊✨

And once the final scores are in, we’ll be heading across to The Brisbane Hotel for our post-event social to celebrate another great day together.

A friendly reminder: all movement standards, scoring and event questions will be explained on the day, so PLEASE don’t flood our inbox with questions haha 😅 A huge thank you to our event organiser Sage for putting this one together.
