This week is Len Turner's 90th Birthday. Len IS Manly Warringah Kayak Club. Our foundation President 1983-1997 and life member. Len with his mates created and built our club. Fought off the naysayers and naydoers, annoyed the hell out of council to secure the land and build the clubhouse, step by step with strong active committees and members. On the water a tiger competitor and coach, off the water a committed, involved committee member. See the pics for the minutes from the inaugural meeting held at the Narabeen SLSC. When you walk into the club there is a plaque on the wall at the bottom of the stairs celebrating Len. 14 Olympians is part of our legacy. We say happy 90th birthday Len and thank you for everything you have done for our club. 🦅🦅🦅
