๐ FINALS SERIES | PLEASE READ
Congratulations to all teams competing in the Semi-Finals this Saturday! ๐
Semi-Final day is one of the biggest days of the Finals Series, so weโre asking everyone to please take a few minutes to familiarise themselves with the following requirements. These procedures are in place to help games run smoothly and ensure our players, umpires and officials can focus on the game.
โฑ๏ธ SCORER & TIMEKEEPER MEETINGS
There will be a short meeting 15 minutes before each game outside the Umpiresโ Window for all scorers and timekeepers. THIS MEETING IS MANDATORY.
๐ Home Team (listed first): 1 scorer + 1 timekeeper
๐Second Team: 1 scorer
All three officials must attend the meeting 15 minutes before their allocated game.
โ๏ธ PLAYER SIGN-ON
All players must sign the scoreboard in full. No ticks or initials.
The scoreboard is the official record checked by competition officials.
Incorrect sign-ons may result in the Ineligible Player rule and penalties.
๐ SCORERS
Both scorers must sign the scoreboard in the correct section.
Scorers must agree on and record the final score before handing it in.
Only one designated person from each team may approach the scorers during an interval to check scores.
Coaches are not permitted to approach scorers during the game.
โฑ๏ธ TIMEKEEPER
The timekeeper must:
Record all stoppages on a mobile phone and ensure scorers record them.
At ยพ time, advise the umpires and teams of the additional time to be added to the 4th quarter.
Advise the umpire when 15 seconds remain.
Advise the umpire when the additional time has been completed.
๐จ NO OFFICIALS = NO GAME
All three officials must be present before the game can start and must remain in position throughout the game, including breaks and stoppages.
Officials must be capable of performing their duties, remain together in the designated officialsโ area and must not engage with players, coaches or spectators.
Officials cannot be changed during the game without approval from a Camden Executive Member.
๐ฐ DRAWN GAMES
If a game is drawn at full time:
1๏ธโฃ A C&DNA representative will become the official timer.
2๏ธโฃ There will be a 2-minute break.
3๏ธโฃ Two 5-minute halves will be played, with teams changing ends after 5 minutes without an interval.
4๏ธโฃ No substitutions or positional changes are permitted before extra time begins. Rolling substitutions can be used once extra time starts.
5๏ธโฃ Normal stoppage procedures apply during extra time.
6๏ธโฃ If still drawn after the second 5-minute half, play continues until one team has a 2-goal advantage.
๐ SCOREBOARDS
Umpires will bring scoreboards to the courts, the winning team will return the scoreboard to the Control window.
Teams are still responsible for ensuring all scoreboard information is completed correctly, including player sign-ons and scores.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง SPECTATORS
Please remain in the designated spectator areas.
๐ซ No spectators are permitted on the baselines and anyone in these areas will be asked to move.
For everyone's safety, children should not be playing or running around near the courts while games are underway, and spectators are asked not to walk through or congregate near the umpires during play.
We ask that everyone respect the rules, support our umpires and officials, and give every player the finals experience they deserve.
Please speak with your club committee if you have any questions.
Good luck to all our Semi-Final teams! ๐๐ฅ
