The Dale Hockey Memorial Shield – Stag of the Year, proudly awarded to Kaia Williams. 🏆💙

This award recognises someone who embodies what it means to be a Stag — not just through what they do on the field, but through their commitment, character, attitude and the way they contribute to our club and our Stags family.

Kaia, you’ve given so much to this club, and your dedication, willingness to step up and the way you carry yourself have not gone unnoticed. Week after week, you bleed blue and white, and you encourage everyone around you to bring the same passion and heart.

We couldn’t be prouder to see your name on this shield, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving recipient.

A Grade… what can we say? What a massive year.

After the devastation of not fielding an A Grade side in 2025, our club was determined to bring the Stags back in 2026. With such a proud history behind us, we simply couldn’t let it disappear.

And then you boys came along. 💙

Having A Grade back on the field brought a renewed life to our club. You’ve shown incredible talent, determination and grit, and we couldn’t be prouder to call you Stags.

To those who showed up week after week, despite the challenges, we thank you. We know how much we asked of you on top of work, families and everything else life throws at you. But by showing up, you’ve helped lay the foundation for the Stags to keep moving forward. 🙏

You’ve kept local footy alive, given our young Stags something to aspire to, and created some bloody epic home-game memories along the way. You gave our community reasons to come together, laugh, cheer and reconnect over this incredible sport. 🥹

🦌💙 BILL TEWES MEMORIAL SHIELD | ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD 💙🦌

We’re incredibly proud to recognise Jeremy Easton as the recipient of the NRLFC Bill Tewes Memorial Shield Encouragement Award, proudly presented by Kaiden Weston on behalf of the Tewes family.

Awarded for outstanding dedication to the sport, this one couldn’t be more fitting. 🏆

Jeremy is one of the most natural young players we’ve seen, but it’s his heart, attitude and willingness to give everything a go that really sets him apart. 💙

After a fantastic season with our U12s, Jeremy stepped up to help our U14s when numbers were short. He took on a daunting challenge, played up an age group and absolutely embraced it — proving he was more than capable of holding his own. 🏉👏

Jeremy, there’s something very special in you, and we all see it. We hope you do too!

What a massive season for our U14 Stags! 🏉

We started the year unsure if we’d even have the numbers to field a team, with competition changes creating some early challenges. Our incredible Manager Sarah pulled out all the stops to get these boys on the field — and what followed was one heck of a season.

With a small squad and injuries along the way, it would have been easy to give up. But they didn’t. They kept turning up, backed each other, gave their whole hearts and pushed all the way to the Grand Final. 🥹👏

We are incredibly proud of every one of them and so grateful to their families and team staff for keeping our Stags in the fight.

Their efforts earned them the Fred Kassulke Shield for Best Team Effort! 🏆 A huge congratulations to the whole team! 👏

🦌💙 WE NOW INTERRUPT YOUR REGULAR PROGRAMMING… 💙🦌

…to recognise a pretty special award recipient from Presentation Day.

Phil Armstrong — or as we at the Stags know him… GROUNDSKEEPER WILLIE! 😂🏉🌱

Phil was awarded the Gayle Sanders Memorial NRLFC Volunteer of the Year Shield in recognition of his incredible contribution to the club throughout the 2026 season — and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving.

His love of the mower is second-to-none, and we’re pretty sure we’ve never seen straighter lines on our fields! 😂 His attention to detail and pride in our grounds goes above and beyond.

But the mowing is just the beginning…

Phil has been a LeagueSafe and Coach across multiple grades, the chief A-Grade cheerleader, game day ground manager, project coordinator, field prep and clean-up, canteen helper and pretty much anything else we’ve needed him to be. He jumps in wherever he’s needed and goes above and beyond for every person in our Stags family.

We know about the midnight sprinkler runs, the bin dives, the late nights and the early mornings around a busy work schedule. We know just how much goes on behind the scenes — and we know you do it all without ever asking for recognition.

Phil, this club simply wouldn’t have been what it was this year without you. 🥹💙

You’ve given an enormous amount to the Stags, on top of everything you already give to your family, your work and the people around you.

We are incredibly lucky to have you.

What a year for our littlest Stags! 🥹🏉

For many, this was their first taste of rugby league, and what a fantastic bunch they’ve been! They’ve learned the ropes, made friends and had plenty of fun along the way. We couldn’t be prouder! 💙

A huge thank you to Coaches Sperlo & Hayden, and our awesome Team Manager & FAO Lavina, for all your hard work and dedication. Rounding up a mob of 5 and 6-year-olds and getting them running in the same direction is no small feat! 😂 Throw in a footy, tags and an interchange bench, and the best kind of chaos ensues! 😍
