🌟 Congratulations Ava Paech 100 Club Games this Saturday v Jervois. On court 2 @11:10am 🌟

Ava joined Ramblers in 2022 in our Sub Junior 1 side. You’ll normally find Ava controlling the game in centre but you can also find her on the wing and sometimes showing her versatility by having a run in goals.

Ava is a quick but steadying force through the midcourt, playing continuously at a high intensity, often picking up defensive intercepts and shutting down her opposition. She is a very smart and skilled player who makes strong and direct leads, combined with her exceptional vision down the court and into goals, which makes for easy feeding into goalers.

As Captain of the Junior 1 side, Ava’s leadership, positive communication and encouragement has been a driving force behind the team. She is an extremely coachable player, always asking questions to improve, taking on feedback and implementing it immediately into her game. Ava’s work ethic and commitment is also shown in her representing in the RMNA Rep team this year.

Ava is always happy to jump in and help out where needed. Even impressing the older Inter 1 side with her intensity, skills and quick on her toes thinking, taking control when they were asked to reverse a drill, the older girls happy to follow her lead.

Congratulations on 100 club games Ava! We’re excited to see where your netball takes you in the future! 🎉🐓

It is with great sadness that we advise the Ramblers community of the passing of former Rambler Football Club player and teammate, Darryl Blackmore.

Darryl will be remembered as a tough and strong backman who proudly represented the Ramblers, being a member of the 1974 Junior Colts Premiership Team and the 1976 Senior Colts Premiership Team, before going on to play A Grade until joining the Army.

Darryl was unable to attend the Senior Colts 1976 Premiership Reunion earlier this year due to ill health. Sadly, his health continued to decline over recent months.

In true Darryl fashion, he will leave us quietly and without a funeral. He will be cremated, with his final resting place at Enfield Cemetery.

Our thoughts are with Darryl’s family, friends and all those who knew him during this difficult time. 🤍

On behalf of everyone at the Rambler Football Club, we would like to sincerely thank Ray for his commitment, leadership and contribution to the club over the past two seasons.

Ray has played an important role in the development of our senior playing group, helping the team grow both on and off the field. His dedication, time and passion for the club have been greatly appreciated by our players, committee, volunteers, supporters and wider Ramblers community.

While we are disappointed to see Ray move on from the Senior Coach role, we respect his decision to pursue new opportunities and wish him and his family nothing but the very best for the future.

The foundations built over the past two seasons provide our playing group with plenty to be proud of, and we hope the friendships and memories made during Ray’s time at Ramblers will continue for many years to come.

Thank you for everything, Ray. You’ll always be a part of the Ramblers family. 🐓❤️🤍
