MBRC CLUB SHOOT 13/9/26:
A great day on the range today with two stages from 600 yards, where steady conditions kept everyone working hard. This week’s mound sponsor was Beale’s Broad Acre Spraying. Thank you for your continued support. With handicaps applied, Renee Hocking came away with the win — well done Renee.

We then headed to 300 yards, where Jack Picton delivered a standout moment: a perfect 50.10. His first in three years and an absolute ripper to witness. Congratulations Jacko — superb shooting mate.

We’d also like to extend a big thank you to Solterra, who supplied the chemicals used to spray the weeds at the range. Jason headed out during the week, and we’re very grateful for his efforts keeping the burrs at bay as we prepare for our OPM in just a few weeks.

❇️ We won’t be shooting next weekend. Our next club shoot will be 700 yards on Sunday, 27 September.

🌾 MBRC at 2026 Goondiwindi Rifle Club OPM: Weekend Wrap‑Up

What a brilliant weekend of shooting at the Goondiwindi Rifle Club OPM, a two‑day comp that brought together great people, great shooting and some very challenging conditions.

🏆 Day 1: Our little bush club had an absolutely outstanding start, taking out all three Target Rifle grades in the Day 1 Aggregate:
• Ben Picton — TR A Grade Winner
• Dom Whalan — TR B Grade Winner
• Renee Hocking — TR C Grade Winner

🌬️ Day 2: The wind made sure nobody had an easy time. Conditions were tricky, unforgiving and tested even the very best on the mound, but our shooters dug in and delivered.

🏅 Grand Two‑Day Aggregate Results:
The final results across the full weekend were something special:

• Ben Picton - TR A Grade 🥇Winner (for the fourth time)
• Vic Fasen - TR B Grade 🥇Winner
• Dom Whalan - 5th place, TR B Grade
• Renee Hocking - 2nd Place, TR C Grade
• Jamie Fasen - 3rd Place, F‑Standard B Grade, earning her first ever badge — we are so incredibly proud of her achievement.
