What if we could pause before we react?

Especially when it comes to the people we love most.

Parenting, relationships, work, life… there are plenty of moments that test our patience. But creating a little space between what happens and how we respond can change everything.

That’s one of the things yoga can give us. A chance to practise noticing, breathing, and choosing our response rather than simply reacting.

We’re not aiming to be perfectly calm humans all the time. We’re just practising getting a little better at meeting life as it comes. 💚

What helps you pause before you react?

Our second and final soup night for winter 2026 raised $605 for the wonderful Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary! 😍

A huge thanks to everyone who attended or dropped a donation in the box in the lead up to the event. It was the perfect night to chat, fill our bellies and get to know each other more.

There were many requests for the recipe for the Moroccan-inspired chickpea soup, which I’ve just put in our community group (link in comments)🧑‍🍳

People are often scared about starting with us because they think they have to go and buy expensive matching “yoga clothes”.

We decided to have a bit of an impromptu fashion parade at the studio to show you what our real members, who are real people, wear to class 😍

A huge happy birthday to our wonderful teacher Ashleigh! ❤

Ash has been teaching yoga since 2011, and her fun and creative classes always bring some giggles, adventures, and opportunities to try something new.

Growing up as a ballet dancer, she was introduced to yoga as a way to increase flexibility and strength - and quickly fell in love with the ancient practice. Now, as a mum of three young children, her love of yoga has only grown. Her practice has become a true sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle of mum life – a place to reconnect with herself.

We're so grateful to have Ash part of our team, and just love the attitude of curiosity and play she brings to her classes. Please join us in wishing her a wonderful day! 🎂

Our latest wisdom board prompt invited our community to reflect on their recent wins.

The whole point of practicing with us is so you feel more calm, more resilient, and more able to make wins happen in your life (as well as recognising and acknowledging them when they do!). We care about each and every one of you and love to see all your successes!

Well done legends 🥰👍

🚨Attention stressed-out women who feel like your shoulders are glued to your ears

Teacups ☕️ are one of my favourite fun, playful movements that keep your neck, shoulders and upper back feel strong and fluid. Laughing mandatory when you drop it on your head! 😆

Save it to try it and let me know what you think!

Three classes each week is enough to make a significant difference to your resilience and ability to handle the physical and mental challenges life throws at you.

… probably less time than you spend doomscrolling.

Get those classes booked! 🙌

🎉 Happy Birthday to our front desk extraordinaire, Niamh! 💛

If you're one of our morning crew, chances are you've been welcomed into the studio by Niamh's friendly face. She does such a wonderful job of helping our community feel at home and quietly helps keep so many things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Many of you will also have received one of Niamh's thoughtful check-in texts. Whether she's celebrating your wins, encouraging you back after some time away, or simply reminding you that we're here for you, she has a lovely way of making people feel seen and supported.

Niamh is a proud Hills local, and if you ever need an excuse to strike up a conversation with her, ask her about her gorgeous greyhound, Connie! 🐾

We hope you have a beautiful birthday, Niamh. Thank you for everything you do for our community!

What we learn in yoga doesn’t only help us ❤️

I know this sounds crazy but pain, even very strong pain, does not necessarily mean you’ve injured yourself.

The best thing you can do is to keep up your movement practices, scaling as needed if anything feels severely painful (more than 3-4 out of 10).

How do you usually react to pain?
