• Qualifying Finals (1st vs 2nd): The winner progresses straight to the Grand Final, while the loser gets another chance in the Preliminary Final.
• Elimination Finals (3rd vs 4th): The winner progresses to the Preliminary Final, while the loser’s season comes to an end.

HOW FINALS WORK 🏀
With the final round of regular season games almost finished, we thought we’d explain how the HRBA finals series works.

Finals are played over three weeks for eligible competitions (U12 and above).

🏀 FR1 - Finals Round 1
The top four teams on the ladder qualify.
• 1st vs 2nd play in the Qualifying Final.
• 3rd vs 4th play in the Elimination Final.

🏀 PF - Preliminary Final
The loser of the Qualifying Final plays the winner of the Elimination Final.

🏀 GF - Grand Final
The winner of the Qualifying Final plays the winner of the Preliminary Final to decide the premiership.

Games will be played at Mundaring Arena.

Fixtures, game times and venues will be available through PlayHQ and MyHoops as they are released by HRBA.

END OF SEASON UNIFORM REMINDER
As the Winter 2026 season comes to an end, it’s time to start preparing for uniform returns from this week onwards.

Please remember:
• Bring a spare T-shirt to your final game.
• Return your Helena Basketball Club jersey (singlet) to your Team Manager after your final game.
• Keep your HBC shorts – they belong to you and do not need to be returned.

If your team progresses to finals, please bring a spare T-shirt to every finals game, as any game could be your last for the season.

Our jerseys are on loan from the club and are used again each season. Returning them promptly helps us prepare for the upcoming Summer season and ensures every player has a uniform ready to go.

Thank you to all our players, families, Team Managers and volunteers for helping us look after our club uniforms.

LAST WEEK OF THE REGULAR SEASON 🏀
This week marks the final round of regular season games for the Winter 2026 competition.

For U12 and above, the top four teams in each division will progress to the HRBA Finals Series. Teams outside the top four will wrap up their Winter season this week.

U10 competitions do not play finals and will continue their regular season through to Round 18, finishing on Saturday, 12 September 2026.

Finals fixtures, game times and venues will be confirmed by HRBA once the regular season concludes. We’ll share all the details, along with our Helena Basketball Club finals teams, as soon as they’re available.

To all of our players, coaches, team managers, volunteers and families, thank you for another fantastic regular season. Best of luck to every Helena team this week. We’re looking forward to an exciting finish to the Winter season.

Registrations close Sunday, 23 August 2026.

To help us with team planning, we encourage everyone to register before the closing date. Late registrations cannot be guaranteed a place.

As a proudly volunteer-run club, every team relies on a Coach and Team Manager. If you’d like to help, you can nominate your interest during registration. Eligible volunteer roles receive discounted registration fees as a thank you for supporting our Club.
