Congratulations to current Mount Martha SC State League 3 player Amy Crawford on her appointment Alamein FC’s Technical Director for the 2027 season.

Amy currently holds a Football Australia B Diploma and is currently an Assistant Coach along side our State League 3 coach Harry Aylett, as a part of the current Alamein NPLW coaching team. Best of luck Amy with the new role for season 2027.

ANNOUNCEMENT: A new chapter for Alamein football.

Amy Crawford will become Alamein FC’s Technical Director for the 2027 season, stepping away from her current role as U13 Head Coach, while continuing as NPLW Assistant Coach.

A Football Australia B Diploma coach and Coach Education Tutor, Amy brings experience across junior and senior football, coach development and the professional women’s game, including a coaching internship with Melbourne City FC’s A-League Women’s program.

Named Alamein FC Coach of the Year in 2025, Amy knows our club, our players and our culture. Now, she’ll take the lead in shaping the next phase of our football program.

Her vision is clear: a connected pathway from juniors to seniors, strong development for players and coaches, a recognisable Alamein football identity, and a high-performance environment with ambitious standards, without losing the culture that makes this club special.

The full story about Amy’s appointment will be shared in our Stories.

Keep an eye on our feed for news of more leadership coaching appointments in the coming days and weeks (teaser: we’re pleased to share that current TD Liam Kafka-Sweeney will remain at the club).

Welcome to the new role Amy! ❤️💙

SENIOR RESULTS 🔴🔵

Plenty to take from the weekend, with the Senior Men continuing to show progress, another young Mariner hitting a milestone in the Reserves and the SL3 Women continuing their strong finish to the season.

⚽ SENIOR MEN | GLEN WAVERLEY 1–1 MMSC

A well-earned point away from home for the Senior Men.

Glen Waverley enjoyed plenty of possession, but the Mariners created some of the better opportunities before falling behind from a corner just before half-time.

The response again showed the progress being made under Gary Talbot. The Mariners kept pushing and were rewarded with 10 minutes remaining when Jude Hardy pounced following a long throw to make it 1–1.

They nearly stole all three points late, with Hardy releasing Will McFee, whose low effort was brilliantly saved.

Another encouraging performance as the rebuild continues to take shape.

⚽ RESERVES | GLEN WAVERLEY 3–1 MMSC

Another gutsy effort from a Reserves side that travelled with just 11 players — including coach Eamonn Breen back in goal despite carrying a quad strain!

Eamonn also provided one of the afternoon's more entertaining moments, forgetting which football code he was playing and applying a hip-and-shoulder in the box. Penalty. 😂

The highlight came in the 75th minute when 15-year-old Jackson Holt scored his FIRST senior goal. A superb cross from the left was met with a perfectly judged glancing header that gave the keeper no chance.

Jackson is regularly the first junior to put his hand up when the senior teams need players, so it was fantastic to see him get his reward. 👏

⚽ SL3 WOMEN | MMSC 5–3 DOCKLANDS ATHLETIC

The late-season charge continues!

Another five goals and another strong performance, with Signe Hardt and Jade Sollner both scoring braces and Kira Greenwood converting from the spot.

⚽⚽ Signe Hardt
⚽⚽ Jade Sollner
⚽ Kira Greenwood

The SL3 Women continue to build some terrific momentum on the run home.

⚽ SL6 WOMEN | MANNINGHAM UNITED 7–0 MMSC

The score doesn't tell the full story against the league leaders, who have regularly been scoring 10–15 goals a game this season.

With only 12 players available, the Mariners battled brilliantly and restricted Manningham to seven.

Best: Rebecca Signey, Jasmine Murley, Amelie Hall, Gemma Coley, Libby Aylett & Sarah Taylor.

💜🏦 THANK YOU, COMMUNITY BANK MOUNT MARTHA! 🏦💜

What a fantastic day it was celebrating our Community Bank Mount Martha Round!

On behalf of everyone at Mount Martha Soccer Club, we'd like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Community Bank Mount Martha for their continued support of our club and the local community.

From our MiniRoos through to our senior players, it was wonderful to see so many families enjoying a full day of football at Civic Reserve. One of the biggest highlights was watching our Under 7 mascots proudly lead the Senior Men's team onto the pitch before taking centre stage at half-time for the Nearest to the Pin Challenge.

Community partnerships like this go far beyond logos on a shirt. They help create opportunities for players of all ages, strengthen community connections and make special days like Saturday possible.

To everyone from Community Bank Mount Martha who joined us throughout the day – thank you for your ongoing commitment to our club and for investing back into local sport.

⛳⚽ NEAREST TO THE PIN CHALLENGE | COMMUNITY BANK MOUNT MARTHA ROUND ⚽⛳

One of the highlights of Saturday's Community Bank Mount Martha Round was seeing our Under 7 mascots take centre stage at half-time of the Senior Men's match for our inaugural Nearest to the Pin Challenge!

The rules were simple – each player had three attempts to pass the ball and have it come to rest as close to the flag as possible. Easier said than done... especially with the pressure of a big crowd watching! 😄

Keeping a watchful eye over proceedings was our very own "Ted Lasso"... otherwise known as Operations Manager, MiniRoos coach, proud dad and all-round good bloke, Simon Jay, who had the important job of measuring every attempt and declaring the winners.

A huge thank you to our club sponsor, Sportsco Mornington, for getting behind the challenge with some fantastic prizes, generously donated by Gary Talbot:
🏆 1st Place – $50 Sportsco Mornington Voucher
🥈 2nd Place – $20 Voucher
🥉 3rd Place – $20 Voucher

Best of all, every participant walked away with a $10 Sportsco Mornington voucher, making sure nobody went home empty-handed.

A massive thank you to Sportsco Mornington for supporting our young Mariners and helping make the Community Bank Mount Martha Round such a memorable day for everyone involved.

We think this might have to become a regular feature! ❤️💙
