There are a lot of people who make a rodeo happen, and before anything else, we want to say a massive THANK YOU.
To everyone who came through the gates and supported us โ thank you. Seeing the stands and grounds full of families, friends and rodeo supporters makes all the work behind the scenes worthwhile. ๐
To our volunteers, bullfighters, judges, stock contractors, arena crew, timers and everyone else who jumped in wherever they were needed โ we simply couldn't run a rodeo without you. ๐ช
And a special shoutout to Darryl Chong, who we reckon clocked up about 30,000 steps โ although most of them probably should be counted as running! Darryl is one of those people who is everywhere, doing everything, and just gets in and gets it done. We are incredibly lucky to have him as our arena director! ๐

We had more than 160 competitors come for the afternoon, and that number means more to our committee than you probably realise.
The Great Northern Rodeo Series is run by a small club and an even smaller committee. There aren't dozens of people behind the scenes โ just a little group of people who love rodeo, give up a lot of their own time and work bloody hard to keep making these events happen.
So when more than 160 competitors choose to nominate, load their horses, travel to Buchanan Park and put their faith in us to run a rodeo that you actually want to come to โ we don't take that lightly.
We don't always get everything perfect, but we care enormously about what we put on. We listen, we learn, we improve, and we keep turning up because we want the GNRS to be something our competitors enjoy being part of and our community is proud to support. โค๏ธ

And we could not do ANY of this without the incredible businesses who back our series. Every buckle, every dollar of prize money, every event on the program exists because our Series Partners choose to invest in local rodeo and in the North West Queensland community.
These aren't just logos on a banner โ they're local businesses and families who believe in what we're doing and put their support where it counts. When you're out and about, please support the businesses that support your rodeo. ๐ค
So to every competitor, spectator, volunteer, partner and person who has backed our little club throughout the year โ thank you for believing in what we're doing. We're pretty proud of what our small committee continues to pull together. ๐
