What a fantastic way to wrap up the 2026 AFL Mount Isa season! 💚💛

The Grand Final presentation was a great opportunity to celebrate the players, teams and everyone who contributed to another big year of local footy at Legends Oval. The day was filled with plenty of smiles, celebrations and some very proud moments as we recognised the efforts of our players throughout the season.

A special thank you to Christine for joining us at the oval to present the Stewie Horwood Memorial Trophy. It was wonderful to have you with us and to honour Stewie’s memory as part of our presentation. ❤️🏆

We’d also like to once again thank all of our volunteers, officials, umpires and everyone behind the scenes. Your time, effort and commitment throughout the season — and especially on Grand Final day — does not go unnoticed. We couldn’t do it without you! 🙌

Congratulations once again to the 2026 Premiers, the Buffs, and well done to every player, coach and club who contributed to another great season of AFL Mount Isa. 🏆👏

The big day is finally here! 🔥 As we get ready for an exciting AFL Mount Isa Grand Final, we ask all supporters to help us make it a safe, respectful and enjoyable day for everyone! 💚

A few important reminders before you head to the oval:

🚫 NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS are to be brought onto the oval. Security will be present and bag checks will be conducted.

🐕 NO DOGS are permitted at the oval.

🙌 BRING THE POSITIVE ENERGY! Cheer for your team, support the players and enjoy the footy!

👮 SECURITY WILL BE PRESENT THROUGHOUT THE DAY. Any uncalled-for or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and you will be removed from the grounds.

🌭🥤 HUNGRY? AFL Women’s Mount Isa will be selling sausages and soft drinks, and Chills Nutrition will also be down at the oval!

A few important reminders for everyone attending:

🚨 RESPECT THE PLAYERS & OFFICIALS
We ask that no supporters approach or go near any players, officials or coaching staff during the day. Please give them the space they need to do their jobs. Any uncalled-for behaviour will not be tolerated, and security will remove you from the grounds.

🚧 PLEASE RESPECT THE ROPE
The rope has been put up for safety reasons. Please do not go underneath it, move it or pull it down. We ask everyone to respect the designated areas throughout the day.

🙌 BRING THE POSITIVE ENERGY!

🦏 Dajarra Rhinos will be on scoreboard duty for the Grand Final.

🏉 UMPIRE DUTIES

All umpiring duties for the Grand Final are allocated by the AFL Mount Isa Committee.

We would like to sincerely thank all of our umpires for their time, commitment and willingness to support our competition, particularly on such an important day as the Grand Final. Your contribution is greatly appreciated and plays an important part in making our games possible. 👏🏉

🌭 SAUSAGE SIZZLE & CHILLS MOUNT ISA

Our Women's Team will be holding a sausage sizzle throughout the day, so make sure you grab something to eat and support the girls!

Chills Mount Isa will also be joining us for our Grand Final celebrations! 🎉
