She’s A Jumbo put in a huge run to win the Ferness @ Stud Mixed Series Final at Tara Raceway, Mount Gambier today.
After being last away She’s A Jumbo was too strong for tearaway leader Aston Deutz winning by 2 lengths in 29.86. Major Queen finished third.
Trainer Tim Richards is pictured receiving a voucher for a straw of Ferness by MGGRC Manager Tim Lewis. The straw was kindly donated by Ferness’s owner Ron Evans as part of the winning prize.
The MGGRC would like to thank Ron for his generosity.

Racing gets underway at 11.52am with full bar, canteen and TAB facilities available.

Wangoom trainer Jackson Bell had a nice day out at Tara Raceway today after Afterglow Girl won the second heat of the Ferness @ Stud Series.
Afterglow Girl defeated Aston Deutz by 3/4 length in 29.90.
Magic Tom finished third and Costly Habits qualified for the final next week by finishing fourth.
Jackson Bell also trained Naturally Girl who finished third in the first heat.
It was Afterglow Girl’s third win from only 15 starts.

The Tim Richards trained She’s A Jumbo was a very impressive winner in the first heat of the Ferness @ Stud Series at Tara Raceway today.
The daughter of Bernardo x Rhonda Lily led all the way to defeat Major Queen by just under nine lengths in a quick 29.39.
Naturally Girl finished third and Our Girl Selkie also qualified for the final after finishing fourth.
It was She’s A Jumbo’s 11th win from 40 career starts.

Leading South Australian trainer Tracie Price was very proud of Rock It Kathy after she won the Bernie Burrow at Stud Stake at Tara Raceway today.
The feature race of the day also carried a free straw of Bernie Burrow to the winning connections.
Rock It Kathy came from off the pace to defeat Oregon Caldwell and Compton Ava in a best of day 30.04
It was Rock It Kathy’s seventh win from 29 starts.
