Meet the Flying Fox Team – Cassie Sweetten
If you’ve been around Australian disc golf for any length of time, there’s a very good chance you’ve crossed paths with Cassie.
For almost 20 years, Cassie has been a familiar and friendly face at events right across Australia. Throughout that time, she has contributed to the sport at almost every level — as a player, Tournament Director, Club Committee member and as a representative on the ADG Board.
Her playing career speaks for itself. Cassie is a multiple-time Australian Champion and in 2025 had the incredible honour of representing Australia at the World Games.
But her contribution to disc golf goes well beyond her achievements on the course.
Cassie has been a true trailblazer for the sport in Australia, helping pave the way for those who have followed. She is a passionate and proud advocate for women in disc golf and continues to support greater participation and opportunities for women at every level of the sport.
And then there are the stories that perfectly capture Cassie’s determination — like this one from JB.
The day before a competition at Pine Rivers Park, Cassie threw her beloved Orbit Sword into one of the lake during practice. Most people might have written the disc off and moved on.
Not Cassie.
JB watched as Cassie and Reece waded chest-deep into the lake determined to find it. And yes, they eventually managed to locate the disc — using their feet to search through 1–2 feet of mud on the bottom.
That story probably sums Cassie up pretty well — passionate, determined and absolutely not prepared to leave a beloved disc behind!
After almost two decades of giving back to the game, Cassie represents exactly what we love about the disc golf community — experience, leadership, passion and a genuine commitment to helping the sport grow.
We’re incredibly proud to have Cassie as part of the Flying Fox team and grateful for everything she has contributed to Australian disc golf.
Here’s to the trailblazers who helped build the path for the rest of us.

Meet the Flying Fox Team – Lee Thompson
Lee Thompson has been a huge part of the Geelong disc golf community for many years. Lee has consistently been one of those people you can count on to be involved — not just as a player, but as someone who genuinely puts in the work to grow and support the sport.
Lee is currently the Vice President of the Geelong Disc Golf Club, as well as an Inverleigh Disc Golf Club representative on the committee. Those roles are a reflection of the commitment he continues to show to the local disc golf community.
A lot of Lee’s work happens behind the scenes. He puts considerable effort into keeping the Inverleigh club active and thriving, organising working bees, running leagues and creating opportunities for local players to get out and enjoy the game.
And then there’s his own playing career.
Lee could probably be described as one of the stalwarts of the MA40 division, having consistently competed in the division for around eight years. He has also travelled extensively around Australia, competing in many of the ADG major and national tournaments along the way.
But ask anyone around Geelong about Lee and you’ll quickly realise that his reputation goes well beyond his results.
He is someone who genuinely cares about disc golf and, more importantly, about the people who play it. Whether he’s organising an event, helping maintain a course, running a league or simply having a chat with another player, Lee is always working towards making the sport better and more enjoyable for everyone.
That commitment is exactly what makes him such an important part of the Flying Fox team.
Lee, thank you for everything you continue to do for Geelong disc golf and for the wider Australian disc golf community. We’re proud to have you on the Flying Fox team.

Meet the Flying Fox Team – Tania Behan
If you’ve spent any time around a disc golf course in Australia, there’s a good chance you’ve already felt Tania Behan’s presence before you even met her. She’s the kind of player who lights up an entire event just by being there.
Tania is the epitome of disc golf sunshine. With a smile that never seems to disappear and a warmth that makes everyone feel welcome, she brings an incredible energy to every event she attends.
She is always encouraging and supporting the players around her, while continuing to work hard towards achieving her own disc golf goals. Tania is currently working towards representing Australia in Lithuania, and we couldn’t be more proud to support her on that journey.
One of the things that makes Tania so special is the way she welcomes new players into the sport. She is always willing to put her hand up, take someone under her wing and help them feel comfortable, supported and part of the community.
When Ash was new to disc golf, Tania was one of the people who made her feel safe, welcome and like she belonged. That kindness has stayed with her, and it’s one of the many reasons she is a favourite in the disc golf community.
Tania represents so much of what we love about disc golf — community, encouragement, inclusion and genuine support for others.
We’re incredibly proud to have her as part of the Flying Fox team and can’t wait to see what she achieves next.
Keep shining, Tania. We’re all behind you!

Meet the Flying Fox Team – Blake Houston
At just 20 years of age, Blake Houston has already established himself as a major force in Australian disc golf and planted his flag firmly on the Disc Golf Pro Tour.
The reigning Australian National Champion, Blake has developed into one of the best players in the country. His game combines incredible power off the tee with dependable putting in both C1 and C2, backed up by a controlled and highly effective approach game.
But what makes Blake stand out goes well beyond his ability on the course.
He is incredibly well liked right across the Australian disc golf community and is always happy to stop and have a chat with anyone he meets — whether that’s another professional player or someone simply enjoying a casual round.
That willingness to connect with everyone is a great reflection of the Australian spirit Blake represents so well.
And now he has another huge opportunity ahead of him.
Blake has been selected as captain of the Australian National Team heading to Lithuania next month.
At only 20, to already have achieved what Blake has — and to be trusted with the responsibility of leading his country — is an incredible accomplishment.
We’re incredibly proud to have Blake as part of the Flying Fox team and can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.
Go well, Blake. Lead the way and make Australia proud!

Meet the Flying Fox Team – Ash Dooley
The Connector | Birdie Babes Australia
Ash Dooley brings the heart, enthusiasm and community spirit to the Birdie Babes dynamic duo.
Alongside Tenyse, Ash has helped build Birdie Babes into a space where women can connect, be celebrated and feel like they belong — whether they’re seasoned competitors or picking up a disc for the very first time.
Ash’s passion goes well beyond simply playing the game. She has a genuine talent for bringing people together, sharing the stories, achievements and personalities of women in disc golf, and showing just how much fun being part of this community can be.
She brings energy, positivity and a whole lot of personality wherever she goes. More importantly, she helps make people feel welcome.
Together, Ash and Tenyse are helping make women in Australian disc golf more visible, more connected and considerably more fabulous.
Flying Fox Disc Golf is proud to have Ash as part of the team and grateful for everything she contributes to the sport and its community.
Thanks for everything you do, Ash!

Meet the Flying Fox Team – Ken Summers
We’re kicking things off with Ken Oath
Ken has been an incredible supporter of mine, even before Flying Fox Disc Golf started making chalk bags. From day one, he’s been someone I could always count on.
Anyone who’s had the pleasure of meeting Ken knows what a genuinely great person he is—both on and off the disc golf course. His kindness, encouragement, and willingness to help others make him someone people naturally enjoy being around.
I can’t speak highly enough of what Ken means to me. Not just in disc golf, but more importantly, away from it. We’ve shared countless conversations over Messenger, and I’m grateful for every one of them. I only wish he lived closer so those chats could happen in person.
Thanks for everything you do, Ken. Flying Fox Disc Golf is proud to have you as part of the team.
