Sirromet parkrun

Sirromet parkrun Sirromet parkrun is a FREE, timed, weekly 5km event for runners and walkers of all fitness levels. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once!

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Sirromet parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the grounds of the beautiful Sirromet Winery and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there! Please Note:
- Sirromet parkrun is not pram friendly.
- Dogs/pets are not permitted on the grounds
- No food or drink is to be brought onto the property, excluding bottled water.

Good morning. Sirromet parkrun needs you to volunteer. Our roster is very bare, not only this week, but for future weeks as well. parkrun cannot go ahead each Saturday without volunteers. So please consider volunteering, especially in the critical roles such as time keeper, finish tokens or barcode scanning. The roles enable parkrun to give you a result for your efforts.

Well done to the 70 runners & walkers that joined us today for the 449th edition of Sirromet parkrun. Congratulations to our first finishers Chase Gilbert(19:45) & Natsumi Ito (24:04). Well done to Amanda Lazarakis who also completed her 50th parkrun.
Today we had visitors from Logan River and England, hope you enjoyed our course.
As always and most importantly thank you to our volunteers, Sue, Peter, Merilyn, Sean, Sarah, Paul & Alice.
As you seen our volunteer roster is very bare for the few weeks. So,if you would like to volunteer just reach out via DM or email [email protected]

Please remember parkrun cannot run every week without the support of the volunteer community.

Hello and hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. With only three more sleeps until we run/walk/skip the rolling hills of Sirromet parkrun, we are still in need of a timekeeper, barcode scanner and finish token volunteers. These are our three most important roles and we cannot operate without them. Event #448 this morning. We had a field of 38 runners and walkers. Of the 38, we had 19 first timers to Sirromet. We also had 1 PB, well done in those conditions Maria.

We also celebrated the 50th parkrun for Megan.

This morning we also had a great group of volunteers Linda, Shari, Oscar, Diane and Cherie. A reminder that there are volunteer roster positions to fill over the following weeks, please let us know if you can help out.

Hi Parkrunners,

Only two more sleeps to parkrun day and we can’t wait to see you at Sirromet parkrun.

If you are doing Bridge to Brisbane this Sunday and are conserving energy for the first K up the bridge we have a great opportunity to be a Marshall this Saturday, please let us know if you can help out.

There are also some great opportunities to volunteer on 19th and 26th September and future weeks. Let us know if you can help out over the next few weeks. If you haven’t volunteered before, full training is provided and you get to volunteer with a very friendly bunch!

Weather forecast is looking great for parkrun day. As usual first timers at 6.50 am followed by the run brief at 6.55 am, then off we go at 7am.

Please remember no dogs are not permitted at Sirromet.

Event #447 this morning. We had a field of 47 runners and walkers. Of the 47, we had 2 doing their first ever parkrun, welcome to the parkrun family and 5 other first timers to Sirromet. We also had 5 PBs, well done all.

We also celebrated the 400th parkrun for Pete, congratulations and Sue’s 250 parkrun at Sirromet last week.

This morning we also had a great group of volunteers Linda, Glenda, Graham, Jennifer, Isabell, Michelle and Paul. A reminder that there are volunteer roster positions to fill over the following weeks, please let us know if you can help out.

Hi Parkrunners,
