Mount Beauty Golf Club is hosting a 4-Ball Ambrose on Friday 25th September, the Grand Final Public Holiday, for your golfing pleasure.

Get a team together or call 0459 679 356 to secure your place.

$15 competition fee will get you in the running for prizes, and discounts are available for visitors and guests wanting to join in.

11:45 for 12:05 sh***un start, and with some cool beverages in the Clubhouse to follow.

Saturday's results for September Monthly Medal.

Stuart Jelbart playing off 20 posted a respectable Par 72 for the round, pipped by one with Ross Rynehart off 15 posting a nett 71.

However, the winner for the day, with a nett 69 off a handicap of 17 was Trevor English, proving to all that the course was designed by a left hander.

Next Saturday is Stableford off the Blue tees, and wll also be Round 2 of our new COURSE championship where three rounds will be played from Black, Blue and Yellow tees to see who is the master of the Mount Beauty Golf Course.

Muster at 11:45 for 12:00 start, and we can start earlier if we're ready to go.

Okay, let's try that again. The September at Mount Beauty Golf Club:

Sat 12th is Monthly Medal, Stroke off the Black Tees and will also be Round 1 of the COURSE championship, in combination with Sat 19th, Stableford off the Blues, and Grand Final Sat 26th Stableford off the Yellows.

Monday League is back - 10:30 ish or so each Monday for those who like to play another 18 holes.

Wednesday 9 Hole competitions every week, nominally at 12:00 but can be played at anytime before dark.

Friday 25th is a holiday in Victoria and therefore we will have our 4-Ball Ambrose kicking off with a sh***un start at 12:05.

The AFL Grand Final is Sat 26th, and I have put early tee times in there if people want to play golf then watch the match.

Course Closed this weekend.

The amount of rain and water still sitting on the course has made the greens unplayable, and there is a danger of damage to the course surfaces.

No competition today. Monthly Medal will be played next week on 12th September.

Saturday's results of our President v Captain - AGGREGATE STABLEFORD MATCHPLAY competition saw 57 starters.

Good individual scores of 37 for Ross Rynehart and 35 for Peter Hertzog. The winning pairs in the aggregate stableford were not surprisingly, Ross Rynehart & Allan Retallick with 70 points, ahead of Rick Biesboer and David Browing with 66 points.

The Matchplay component was not as close a competition. For the Captain's side, Hertzog & Randall defeated Drew & Cariss; Rynehart & Retallick defeated Short & Church; and Campen & Greenfield defeated Campen & Jelbart to make it three matches to the Captain.
However, for the President: Gerardson & Redmond defeated Gallagher & Gallagher; Hall & McMahon defeated Wilson & Wilson; Etherton & Williams defeated Henning & McNaughton; and Browning & Biesboer positively thumped Dilley & Selway, 🤔making it a comfortable win to the President 4-3.

Thank you to all members and green fee players who are taking care getting around our wet course and not digging up the mud or surrounds. Keep up the good work.

Saturday 29 August will be Captain's choice of competition - based on the state of the course and such. Muster at 11:45 for 12:00 start, and we can start earlier if we're ready to go.
