🏊✨ Brisbane Open House 2026!
This year, we’re proud to showcase not one, but two of Brisbane’s most iconic aquatic venues — Centenary Aquatic Centre and Health Club and the historic Spring Hill Baths — as part of this incredible city-wide celebration.
📍 Visit Centenary Aquatic Centre & Spring Hill Baths during Brisbane Open House 18–19 July 2026 and experience these incredible spaces for yourself.
đź’™ Centenary Aquatic Centre (Spring Hill)
A true Brisbane landmark, Centenary Aquatic Centre is a state heritage-listed architectural icon designed by James Birrell and opened in 1959 as Brisbane’s first Olympic-standard pool. Known for its bold Mid-Century Modern design, sweeping concrete forms, mosaic detailing, and iconic diving tower, it remains a major hub for swimmers of all levels — from squad training and lap swimmers through to community programs and fitness sessions.
Whether you know it for your early morning laps or have admired it from the grandstand, Open House is your chance to experience it in a whole new way and appreciate the design and legacy behind one of Brisbane’s most significant aquatic spaces.
🏛 Spring Hill Baths (1886)
Step back in time at one of Brisbane’s oldest and most charming swimming venues. First opened in 1886, Spring Hill Baths offers a completely different experience — intimate, relaxed, and rich in history.
With its heritage-listed indoor pool, classic tiled interiors, and old-school character, it’s a place where generations of Brisbane locals have learned to swim, trained, and enjoyed the water in a calm and welcoming environment. It’s a true hidden gem in the heart of the city.
🌟 From Olympic-era ambition to 19th-century heritage, these venues tell the story of how swimming has shaped Brisbane’s community, health, and culture for over a century.
We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors.

One week to go! Join us on Wednesday 27th May at 10am đź’›
This year, we're hosting an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to help Cancer Council raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer.
We've set a fundraising goal of $500 and could really use your help!
The thing is, your donation will make a real difference.
It’ll help fund world-class cancer research, which has already increased cancer survival rates from 49% in the 1980s to 71% today.
It’ll fund prevention initiatives like the HPV vaccine and the new cervical screening program, which have put Australia on track to become the first country to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health problem. How incredible is that?!
Plus, your donation will also importantly help fund support services for the 150,000 Australians who are diagnosed with cancer every year. With support services in higher demand than ever, your help now is particularly vital.
So will you help me reach my goal? I’ve set up a fundraising page so it’s easy to donate online: https://www.biggestmorningtea.com.au/fundraisers/colmslie
Together we can help Australia take big steps towards a cancer free future, so thank you again!
