2027 Junior Registrations Are Open! 🔴⚪⚫
Dear Members and Families,
2027 is shaping up to be a massive year for Mooroolbark Soccer Club — potentially our biggest yet.
Registrations are now open for our U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17 and U18 Junior Programs, and we strongly encourage families to register early and reserve their place ahead of grading and trials commencing in October.
⚽ Grading & Trials – Starting October 2026
For the 2027 season, Mooroolbark Soccer Club will conduct:
Junior Boys – grading across all age groups
CPL – competitive trials
Junior Girls Community – grading across age groups
With player numbers continuing to grow, we expect strong demand across our junior program. Don't wait until grading starts to decide — register now and make sure you're part of the 2027 program.
🔴 Our Junior Program
Our Junior Program caters for competitive teams from U12 through to U18, with players:
Training twice per week
Competing in Football Victoria fixtures
Receiving approximately 65 training sessions across the program
Participating in pre-season training and practice matches
Receiving ongoing coaching, feedback and player development
Progressing through a structured pathway designed to prepare players for senior football
Our coaching program follows the Football Australia development framework, with accredited coaches focused on technical development, tactical understanding, teamwork, confidence and preparing players for the next stage of their football journey.
As players progress through the age groups, pitch sizes, competition standards and travel increase, creating a genuine pathway from junior football towards our senior programs.
💰 2027 Registration Fee – $672
The club fee for the 2027 Junior Program is $672.
To make registration easier for families, a 7-instalment payment plan of $96 per instalment is available.
There are no weekly match fees.
An additional Football Australia registration fee will apply once confirmed.
That means our preparations for 2027 begin almost immediately after the current season finishes.

🔴⚪⚫ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – RED EARTH SUMMER SLAM 2026! ⚽🌭
The Red Earth Summer Slam is back, giving more than 600 kids an extra eight weeks of football before the year ends — and we need the Barkers community to help make it happen!
We’re looking for volunteers across the competition for:
⚽ Morning pitch setup
🍳 Morning BBQ – egg & bacon, then snags
🌭 Afternoon BBQ – snags in bread
🦺 Morning & afternoon Game Day Marshals
⚽ End-of-day pack up
You don’t need to give up your whole Sunday. Even ONE shift makes a huge difference. If you can do two or three, even better!
Every dollar generated by Summer Slam goes directly back into our 2027 football budget, helping us continue to provide more football and better opportunities for our players.

❤️🖤 THIS IS WHAT MAKES ME PROUD TO BE A BARKER 🤍❤️
Just over a day since we opened our Summer Slam volunteer roster, and already members of our club have started putting their hands up and filling shifts.
Seeing that response makes me incredibly proud.
But we still have a lot of spots to fill, and this is one of those times when we need the whole Barkers community behind us.
The Red Earth Summer Slam is much more than another football tournament.
For eight weeks across October and November, it gives more than 600 young footballers another eight weeks of pure football — more touches, more games, more goals, more friendships and more memories made on the pitch.
But what many people may not realise is just how important Summer Slam is to Mooroolbark Soccer Club.
The funds generated through this tournament go straight back into our football program. They help us provide our players with a level of coaching, facilities, equipment, development and football opportunities that I genuinely believe is unrivalled by clubs in Melbourne's east — while keeping the cost of playing football at Mooroolbark at a fraction of what many clubs charge.
And we can only do that because of you.
Every person who cooks a snag, serves at the canteen, helps around the grounds or gives us a few hours of their weekend is contributing directly to what we can provide our players and families.
You don't need to give up your whole weekend.
Even one shift will make a difference.
If every family gives us just a little bit of their time, together we can run an incredible tournament, give hundreds of kids eight more weeks of football and continue building the football club we are all so proud to call ours.

Looking for a fun, welcoming football club for your child in 2027?
Mooroolbark Soccer Club is now accepting registrations for our 2027 MiniRoos program, open to children born between 2016 and 2021.
MiniRoos is the perfect place for young players to develop their football skills, build confidence, make new friends and become part of the Barkers community. New players and families are always welcome!
To make registration easier for families, we have opened registrations early and offer two payment options:
✅ Pay the full $602 registration fee
✅ Spread the cost across eight instalments of $75.25
Payment plans can begin in any month. Any earlier scheduled instalments will be included in the first payment, with the remaining payments continuing monthly.

While this is a wonderful recognition for Stuart, he would be the first to say that this award reflects the work of every volunteer, coach, team manager, committee member, parent, supporter and community member who helps make Mooroolbark Soccer Club what it is.
