Can you want more for yourself without believing where you are isn’t enough?

In yoga philosophy, Santosha is one of the Niyamas and is commonly translated as contentment. But contentment doesn’t mean becoming complacent or giving up on growth.

It’s the practice of appreciating where you are now, while still allowing yourself to learn, change and move towards what matters to you.

We can be grateful for what we have and want something different. We can accept who we are and continue to grow.

This is yoga too. A practice of finding enoughness in the present, rather than waiting for the next achievement, milestone or version of ourselves to feel content.
