MYC was proudly represented at this year’s Newcastle She Sails Open Regatta, with two teams entering the event for the 10th year.

Team Orange put up an incredible battle with the B16s, and Team SHO sailed beautifully on Sunday — such strong performances from both crews.

Mooloolaba Yacht Club

Whether you’re a local sailor or a sailor visiting the Sunshine Coast, join us for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and sailing fun. Come say hi, enjoy an Elliott 6 social sail, and bring a small plate to share with a cold drink afterwards.

Elliott 6 / RIB hire fees ($50 per boat) will be split evenly among those attending.

Sailing experience required.

We will be doing a RHIB transfer from Labalasa Park to help with parking as the Sunshine Coast Iron Man is on the same date.

August’s “Sail Our Way” MYC Skills Development Program –is on Saturday 22nd. This members-only event is a fantastic opportunity to refine your skills, gain valuable insights, and enjoy a great day on the water.
*This is not a Learn to Sail Program.

What to expect: This coaching session will cover both classroom learning and on-water training, where you’ll have the chance to sail the club’s Elliott 6s.
Location: Mooloolaba Yacht Club
Date and Time: Sat 22nd August 12.30pm - 4.00pm.
Cost: Nil- This session is funded by the Australian Sailing Women and Girl’s Sail Our Way initiative.
What to bring: Sailing gear, notebook, and enthusiasm!

There's just two weeks left to apply for the Women, Girls and Youth Officials' Mentor Program.

If you're looking to grow your confidence, develop your officiating skills and learn from experienced National and International officials, now is the time to apply.

Successful mentees will receive:
• One-on-one mentoring
• Access to a supportive network of officials
• A $250 travel credit to attend an event with their mentor

The program is open to:
✅ Women officials of any age
✅ Officials of any gender aged 35 and under

Now in its 8th year, the national award-winning Women's Keelboat Regatta has attracted female sailors from the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, Portland Yacht Club, Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club and Mooloolaba Yacht Club.
