Tough pill to swallow for the lads going out in penalties but full credit to Capalaba for their composure in the shootout.

A game which ebbed and flowed and showed two good footballing sides up against each other. Mitchie had their chances to get a third goal in the second half with some desperate body line defending and a couple last man clearances off the line from Capalaba the only thing keeping the ball out of the net.

It’s been a tough season losing 3 lads the week before the season started and low on numbers all year but they dug deep all year to sneak into finals and couldn’t be prouder of the team. Thanks to everyone that came down and got behind them.

It’s that time of the year again!

Finals for 2026 is upon us.

Our Metro 1 lads play an away semi final to league winners Capalaba this Saturday at 4:30pm.

Get down and support the boys as they look to cause the upset win over Capalaba and their ex women’s top team assistant coach who refs this weekends game and go on to next weeks grand final.

Capalaba has tap beers and the works so it’ll be a great afternoon out.

There’s a few catch up games still going on around Brisbane and for some of our teams however there’s two pretty important games this weekend for the 1s and 7s who are currently on the edge of finals!

Results fall their way and they’ll be seeing the second last weekend in August for finals.

The 6s game is called off already as Oxley has done a forfeit thing.

There’s been a change of venue for tonight’s match meaning we no longer will be away for our first cup match of the year!

After a bye in round 1 we now are in round 2 with an 8pm origin night kick off at teralba park.
