🏁 IT’S OFFICIAL: COLE TRICKLE IS COMING BACK! 🏁

Thirty-eight years after Days of Thunder put NASCAR racing on the big screen, Tom Cruise is set to return as Cole Trickle in Days of Thunder 2 — and the sequel now has an official theatrical release date: June 2, 2028.

Cruise’s return to the cockpit has been in the works for some time, but the project has now taken a major step forward. Cruise has previously confirmed that he and his team were developing stories for a potential Days of Thunder follow-up.

And this time, he won't be alone.

Anne Hathaway is joining the cast, reportedly playing a race team owner and engineer, while Jonathan Levine is set to direct. Jerry Bruckheimer is also returning as a producer alongside Cruise and Tommy Harper.

For racing fans, the original Days of Thunder remains one of the most iconic Hollywood interpretations of NASCAR. Released in 1990, it introduced the world to Cole Trickle, a talented and fiercely competitive driver trying to make his mark in NASCAR with the guidance of legendary crew chief Harry Hogge.

Now, more than three decades later, the question is obvious:

What happened to Cole Trickle?

And perhaps even more importantly…

Can Tom Cruise make Days of Thunder 2 for NASCAR what Top Gun: Maverick was for aviation?

Cruise has already proven that he isn't afraid to put himself in the middle of the action. And after Top Gun: Maverick became a massive worldwide success, expectations for another Cruise legacy sequel are going to be enormous.

If Days of Thunder 2 delivers the speed, rivalry, horsepower and authentic racing atmosphere fans are hoping for, June 2, 2028 can't get here soon enough.

The time has come to move the Mighty Mitsubishi over to someone new.

The car was run by my own privateer team for two seasons, before we aligned with Sieders Race Team for the 2025 season to run and maintain the car.
This year, the car still remains with Sieders Race Team under a lease agreement, where it is currently raced by Jack Westbury in the 2026 V8 SuperUte Series.

The sale will come with 10 x Spare Wheels and ready to race.

The buyer will also purchase and manage the shareholding for the category.

This vehicle purchase can be seen as a way to bolster yourself into a premier support category to the Supercars Championship, or it can also be seen as a strong business investment should you choose to lease the car out.
If the buyer purchases the car before the end of the 2026 season, it is still under an agreement to remain with Sieders Racing with the current lease. This could be a great way to recoup some money back for your initial investment before tackling the series yourself in 2027.
