⚡🏏 A fantastic win for our community! 🏏⚡

The Mirboo North Cricket Club would like to say a huge thank you to AusNet and the Mirboo North Football Netball Club for pursuing the Energy Resilience Community Fund grant and seeing it through to completion.

The $82,500 grant has provided upgraded solar panels and a large-scale battery system, giving the reserve reliable back-up power during outages and emergencies.

This is a fantastic investment not just for football and netball, but for cricket and all the other clubs and community groups that use the facilities. Being able to keep the lights on, communications running and essential facilities operating when the power goes out will make a huge difference to our community.

A massive thanks to everyone involved for the hard work behind the scenes to get this project over the line. 👏

And while we're giving AusNet a well-deserved thank you… we should probably mention that there are still some great cricket sponsorship opportunities available at Mirboo North Cricket Club! 😉🏏⚡Just send us a DM.

🐯🏏 A GRADE CAPTAIN ANNOUNCEMENT 🏏🐯

Mirboo North Cricket Club is thrilled to announce Frankie Ingram as our A Grade Captain for the 2026/27 season.

Although still only young, Frankie has already shown outstanding leadership qualities, a fantastic cricket brain and a genuine passion for the game. His enthusiasm, professionalism and desire to improve both himself and those around him made him the standout choice to lead our A Grade side this season.

Along with captaining the team, Frankie will also take on an Assistant Coaching role, helping to coordinate training sessions and bring greater structure and development across the playing group. We’re excited to see his ideas come to life and the positive impact he’ll have both on and off the field.

Currently playing cricket in England, Frankie has started the English summer in outstanding form, he is currently averaging 52 batting at the top of the order, with 2 x 100s to his name and a few 50s too.

It’s fantastic to see him continuing to develop his game overseas, and we can’t wait to welcome him back to MNCC ahead of the season.

Congratulations, Frankie, on your appointment as A Grade Captain. The entire club is right behind you, and we look forward to seeing where your leadership can take us in 2026/27.

Here’s to a big season of TankBall! 🐯🏏💛🖤
