It’s AFL Grand Final day, and with our CMS Crows footy & netty season officially wrapped up, it felt like the perfect time to look back through the photos from our last home game and remember what a great day it was. ❤️💙💛

They’re a reminder of how much goes into a day of grassroots sport: players and coaches giving it their all, families and supporters turning up, and volunteers putting in the hours before, during and after the games to make it all happen. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🫶🏼

It’s the kids running around, the catch-ups on the sidelines, the noise from the crowd, the familiar faces behind the canteen and of course the best steak sangas in the league! Those are the moments that bring a community together. 🤝🤝

Today we’ll enjoy the big game, but these photos have us feeling pretty grateful for the people and places that make local sport what it is. 👏👏❤️

To everyone who played, helped, cheered or simply came along this season - thank you. You make days like this possible. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🤝

What a wonderful way to finish the season! ❤️💛💙

Last night was all about coming together - some celebrating fantastic wins, while others reflected on a day that didn’t quite go their way.🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🤝🤝

There were quiet chats outside, some very serious moves on the dance floor…and even one little bit of riff-raff who found her way onto the bar. No names mentioned, of course… 😂😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Late night supper was readily devoured - apparently a toastie hits the spot late at night!! 😂❤️

Regardless of the results, we are incredibly proud of every one of you. You represented the CMS Crows Football & Netball Club with pride and gave us so much to celebrate throughout a fantastic season. ❤️💛💙🙌🏼⭐️

We hope Sunday gives everyone the chance to come together, rest those sore bodies, reflect on what you’ve achieved and celebrate the incredible season together. 🫶🏼🫶🏼

A huge thank you to our MDC&SC volunteers who gave their time to make last night possible - and a special thank you to Candy, who gave up her afternoon to come in early to allow us to make sure we were ready for everyone. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Until next year - go Crows! 💙❤️💛⭐️💪💪👏👏

The excitement may be all about the finals for most this coming Saturday, but for Emma Lukong there’s an added bonus as she celebrates 50 games with CMS Crows.
Emma joined us from Paskeville in 2024 as a member of our senior netball group, and it’s fair to say she has brought a spark and passion for a good time as well as strong netball skills.
Emma’s highly entertaining sense of humour brings such a buzz to her team.
As a competitor she is relentless, her pressure on the ball and her opponent makes her a formidable asset to our defensive end, in no small part contributing to Premiership wins; one in 2024, again in 2025 and going for a third this week. As D grade captain this year she has lead by example and always been the loudest voice out there.
Congratulations Emma - here’s to the next 50!

What a way to finish our final Community Teas for the winter season! ❤️

Honestly, I have no words - our community showed up tonight, and we couldn’t be prouder or more grateful. 🫶🏼

It’s a huge week for our CMS Crows Football & Netball Club, and tonight our players came out, trained together, shared a meal and backed one another. There was even a moment when I’m fairly certain the girls were playing statues - and honestly, how good is that? 😂

They’re confident, connected and completely in tune with each other. Now it’s time to take that energy into the weekend! 💪💪💪

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight and to every person who has supported our Community Teas throughout the season. You are what makes our facility such a special place. Our wonderful volunteers ❤️❤️ a little goes a long way and you are always appreciated 🤝🤝

Good luck, CMS Crows! We are extremely proud of you all! And we look forward to celebrating with you Saturday night!! We may have tested the new party lights tonight- they are sweet!!❤️💙💛

Congratulations to tonight’s meat tray winners Jason Newbold and George Litster!! 🙌🏼

We will have a summer series of teas - but until then - GO CROWS!! ❤️💙💛🙌🏼🙌🏼💪

Congratulations to our A Grade skipper Finn “Bettsy” Betterman, who will play his 50th senior game for CMS this Saturday in the Grand Final!

Bettsy joined the club in 2024 and immediately made his mark, earning the role of Vice Captain in his first season. He enjoyed plenty of on-field success, winning the Greg Germein Medal (A Grade Club Best & Fairest) and finishing just one vote shy of the Mail Medal.

He backed that up again in 2025 with another Best & Fairest, before going one better on Grand Final day, leading the team to a Premiership as Captain and taking home Best on Ground honours.

While injury has kept Bettsy on the sidelines for part of the 2026 season, we’re looking forward to seeing him lead the team once again this Saturday as we fight to make it back-to-back premierships.

One of the best midfielders in the competition, Bettsy has a great mix of inside and outside attributes. He wins the hard ball, uses the footy exceptionally well and regularly hits the scoreboard.

50 games, multiple Best & Fairests, currently a 1 time Premiership Captain and a Grand Final Best on Ground.

Congratulations on an outstanding milestone Bettsy and good luck Saturday!
