📈 Skilled migration isn't just an immigration trend. It's always been a talent strategy.
🎙️ In this highlight from the latest episode of the Emajin Golf Podcast: Beyond the 19th with , Director at , Abhinav shares a statistic that every business owner and executive should know.
Around 71% of migrants coming to Australia are skilled migrants, and around half of them are sponsored by businesses.
That highlights the growing talent shortages across Australia and how more organisations are looking beyond local borders to access the skills they need.
As competition for experienced professionals continues to increase, skilled migration is becoming an important part of workforce planning for businesses that want to keep growing.

Yesterday at The Brisbane Golf Club we had a wonderful time with a more intimate group of Emajineers ⛳
Members had the chance to network with everyone in the room and get to know each other at a deeper level.
We had the perfect weather for the round. There were plenty of laughs and banter throughout the day, especially with the brand-new greens being incredibly fast and giving us some challenging and funny moments too.
A big congratulations to our overall winners, Michael McDade and Geoff Young, who both finished on 32 points 👏
A great day overall, with good golf and strong connections with the members!

A special thank you to our sponsors Jewelbic Brothers and Drummond Golf for supporting the event.

🤖 “We’re using AI” is not a real strategy.
🎙️ In this highlight from the latest episode of the Emajin Golf Podcast: Beyond the 19th with Victor Tsaccounis ( Victor Tsaccounis ), CEO of Hubify , Victor explains why businesses need to be deliberate and outcome-focused when bringing AI into their operations.
AI should not be something you add because a competitor is using it or a consultant is recommending it.
It needs to be tied to a clear business outcome, whether that’s efficiency, better margins or improving the quality of output.
As Victor explains, the businesses that get the most out of AI will be the ones that have the right platform, framework, strategy and team buy-in behind it.
AI can be a real competitive advantage. But without a clear strategy, it’s just another distraction and waste of resources.

❌ Selling a business is not something you prepare for at the last minute.
At our recent panel at Concord Golf Club , Coco Hou ( Coco Hou ), CEO of Platinum Accounting Australia and one of our valued Emajin members, shared a powerful reminder for business owners around tax planning, business value and getting exit-ready well before a deal.
By the time the numbers are on the table, the tax outcome has already been decided by the decisions made years earlier ⏰
It was a great conversation about why the strongest outcomes are built early, not rushed 90 days out from settlement.
It’s great to have experts like Coco in our Emajin Golf community, bringing real-world knowledge into the room and helping other founders and business leaders think more strategically about the future of their business.
📽️ Watch the reel for Coco’s full insight from the panel.
🚪 AI might be opening a side door in your business without you realising.
🎙️ In this highlight from the latest episode of the Emajin Golf Podcast: Beyond the 19th with Victor Tsaccounis ( Victor Tsaccounis ), CEO of Hubify , Victor explains the hidden risk of Shadow IT in the age of AI.
Shadow IT is when people inside your organisation are using tools, platforms or systems that the business does not know about or manage.
With AI, that risk becomes even bigger.
An employee might upload confidential client documents into a public AI tool to get advice, summarise information or speed up a task. While the intention may be harmless, the risk is that sensitive information is now sitting outside your control.
As Victor explains, business owners need to be deliberate about how AI is used across their organisation, starting with rules, the right governance, and proper IT support around the team.

🧑🤝🧑 Why ‘building in public’ can be more powerful than a polished brand image.
🎙️ In this highlight from the latest episode of the Emajin Golf Podcast: Beyond the 19th with Jose Ramirez, CEO & Founder of HOPR , Jose shares one of the earliest lessons that shaped the way he built his business.
Back in 2012, his boss told him something that stayed with him throughout his career:
➡️ “People buy from people, not from brands.”
So instead of only focusing on polished aesthetics, Jose started sharing the real story behind the business online.
The wins, the setbacks, the lessons, and the moments that made the journey relatable.
That openness helped him build more than a customer base. It helped him build a community of people who believed in the same things he did.
In this episode, Jose explains how storytelling, consistency and showing up authentically helped turn HOPR into a multi-million-dollar brand people could connect with, not just buy from.

Successful leaders don’t wait for perfect.
They make the best decision they can... and move.
Because waiting for certainty usually means missing the opportunity.
Progress beats perfection.
Momentum beats hesitation.
You’ll never have all the answers.
But you can always take the next step.
Make the decision. Adjust if you need to.
Just don’t stand still. 👊
