Rowan in the red chest guard at the recent AAITF National Tournament in Perth on 29/08/2026.

Rowan didn't progress further than this fight, as he was up a against a very skilled and experienced opponent, but Rowan entered the ring with Courage and Indomitable Spirit 🥋

Considering this was Rowan's first tournament (not to mention Nationals as well), we couldn't be prouder of the way Rowan competed on the day - well done 👏💪👊

Refresher Incoming 📚

We recently refreshed our mental health training by attending the Youth Mental Health First Aid 2-day course by Mental Health First Aid Australia.

A weighty topic for two days in the classroom, but such an important one ‼️

We recently attended the AAITF 2026 Open National Taekwon-Do Championships in Perth WA on Saturday 29/08/2026 🥋

Travelling with a team of 6 competitors and 1 official, we managed to bring home 3 Silver 🥈and 5 Bronze 🥉, a fantastic effort for a small regional team, many of whom had never competed at a tournament before, let a lone a National Championship with 176 competitors.

You can hold your head high knowing that you faced some of Australia's best competitors, and you didn't go down without a fight 🥋

I am immensely proud of each and everyone of our competitors and their support teams for the courage and spirit they showed on an off the mats.

The hardest part of competition is not doubting your ability and trusting your training and nerves to step into the ring.

A true winner is not the person with the most gold medals, but each and every individual who found the courage to step up, and learnt lessons regardless of their outcome.
