After 40's strength training shouldn't be an option. It should be a priority.
(*My clients over 40's 50's, 60's knows about that and they're amazing!!!!!)

Not because there's some abrupt physiological change when we turn 40.
That number doesn't represent a biological threshold.
It does, however, work as a good reminder that aging is already accompanied by changes that, over the decades, can compromise what we often only value once it starts to disappear: strength, power, muscle mass, and functional capacity.

And these variables don't necessarily decline at the same rate.
The literature shows that, at more advanced ages, loss of strength can occur at a faster rate than the reduction in muscle mass.
Power also deserves special attention, because it depends not just on the ability to produce force, but on producing it quickly — something essential for everyday tasks and for situations like recovering your balance.

This helps explain why aging well doesn't simply mean "having muscles."

It means preserving functional reserve.

Getting up from a chair, climbing stairs, carrying objects, walking safely, and reacting quickly to a loss of balance seem like simple tasks , as long as there's enough physical capacity to perform them.

Training doesn't stop aging.
It also doesn't guarantee that someone will never need help.

But strength training is one of the main strategies available for preserving or increasing strength and muscle mass, and for maintaining physical capacity throughout life.

So maybe the question after 40 shouldn't just be:
"How do I want my body to be today?"

But also:
"What body do I want to carry with me into the coming decades?"

Training today is investing in the possibility of reaching the future with more capacity, more reserve, and more autonomy.

Muscle isn't just aesthetics.
Strength isn't just performance.
Past a certain age, both also represent independence.

This transformation is about so much more than lose weight...

She has significant scoliosis and lordosis, and we've been working together for almost two years to improve her posture, movement, and overall strength. Her progress is the result of consistency, patience, and a personalized approach.

Look closely…

✔️ Better posture
✔️ Stronger back muscles
✔️ Improved shoulder alignment
✔️ A more stable core
✔️ Better body symmetry
✔️ Increased muscle definition

When we focus on movement quality, strength and correct biomechanics, the body naturally changes.

This isn't just about looking better... It's about moving better, feeling stronger and reducing the risk of injuries.

That's the difference between simply exercising... and training with purpose."

✨ Let’s Celebrate Together! ✨

February is a special month for me!!!

On February 14th, I celebrate 30 years as a Personal Trainer — from my very first gym and first clients to a lifetime dedicated to movement, health, and longevity.
And on February 28th, I celebrate another year of life — grateful, stronger, and more passionate than ever.

This is more than a celebration.
It’s a reminder that how you train, move, and live truly matters.

If you’re ready to level up your lifestyle, your training, and the way you age, this is your moment.

Here’s to strength, consistency, and living fully — at every age. 🥂✨

With love,
Andreza
