Wild dawn swim to celebrate the winter solstice. A big swell produced peaks & troughs in the bay. Water temperature 13.5C with visibility 3/10. The rough conditions were only for the brave but made for good stories @ Chain of Fools π

Our regular swim will start early on Saturday 20 June 2026 to celebrate the shortest day of the year. Come & watch the winter sun rise from the poles with the cold water crew. Arrive @ 6:40am for a 7:00am start. Flashing bike light in your tow float is recommended so we donβt lose anyone in the dark. Experienced open water swimmers only for this one. Distances may vary depending on conditions & who shows up. Wetsuit also recommended for water temperature of 12C.

Another classic Pink Caps Community Swim on a crisp autumn morning in Melbs. Warmer in the water than out with good visibility in calm conditions. 1,000m, 2,000m & 3,000m groups came together for coffee @ Chain of Fools afterwards. Awesome π
