🏏Mentone Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Hamish Burrill to the club!

Hamish joins us with 1ST XI Premier Cricket experience at Camberwell Magpies and has also spent time playing cricket in the UK. An off-spinning allrounder, Hamish will be a huge addition to the club on and off field next season.

Annual General Meeting Notice - Invitation

As per the Incorporated Rules for the association that is Mentone Cricket Club Incorporated, and in accordance with The Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012.

The Mentone Cricket Club will be holding its 138th Annual General Meeting(AGM), preceding the 2026/27 season.

Tuesday 7th July, 7pm at the Brindisi Street, Social Clubrooms, Mentone.

The purpose of the AGM is for members of the club to:
1. Confirm the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting(AGM)
2. To receive and consider the Annual Report and Financial Statements for season 2025/2026
3. Hold elections for the positions of the Office Bearers and Executive Committee.
4. General Business

🏏Mentone Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Jordan Mackenzie ahead of the upcoming season.

Jordan joins us from Springvale South Cricket Club, where he has been a key part of both Turf 1 and Turf 3 premiership sides in the DDCA. A genuine allrounder, he brings a strong batting presence and quality off-spin, along with Premier Cricket experience with Dandenong Cricket Club.

Just as importantly, Jordan is the kind of clubman who makes a group better on and off the field. We're thrilled to have him on board. 👏

📣 CLUB CAPTAIN ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We are excited to confirm that Comrey Edgeworth has accepted the role of Club Captain for the next 3 seasons.

Comrey has been a staple of our First XI since joining the club after finishing his career at Dandenong CC in Premier cricket.

A quality player and person, Comrey has fitted in seamlessly on and off the field, building strong relationships with all at Mentone CC.

🏏3 time Club Champion, premiership player, respected by all for his attitude and competitive spirit. In our time at Championship level, Comrey sits 3rd on the runs list in the competition.

As Dane did in his time at the helm, Comrey is more than happy to give his time to anyone at the club from the top all the way down to our junior tigers, which will go up a notch now.

From all at the pit, we wish Comrey all the best in this role and look forward to this new stage. 🐯

🏏 From the whole Mentone CC family, we'd like to thank Dane Heverin for his fantastic leadership of our club over the journey. 👏

From junior days, captaining and playing in junior premierships to representing our 1ST XI as a 14 year old, he's done it all!

After several seasons at Premier cricket, he returned to his home to strengthen our stocks. It was brilliant to get Dane back to the pit, playing with his mates and lifting our quality, on and off the field.

🏆PREMIERSHIP glory came in his second year at the helm, bringing us our first 1ST XI flag in 17 seasons.

Going up to CHAMPIONSHIP division, Dane has been in the top run scorers every season. In a competition filled with superstars, he's done more than hold his own.

Throw in two T20 PREMIERSHIPS 🏆🏆 in his time in charge as well. 👏6 SEASONS as CAPTAIN of our great club, second only to Club Legend, Wayne Youngs.

As a club, we've decided to take a new approach going forward but we can't undervalue the service that Dane has given our club over his time.

🏏⏰ TIME FLIES!! It was only last month that we were still walking to the crease, taking to the oval and cricket was in full swing. Our grounds have now been taken over by the sounds of boot on ball, the thud of tackles and the whistle from umpires.

But don't forget about our summer, our antics and our MCC 🐯 family ... and to help you bring back some of those memories here's a snapshot of Presentation Day and the smiles that tell the great stories!!
