🏁⚾ THAT’S A WRAP ON WINTER, TITANS! 🧡🖤

Unfortunately, Saturday’s Preliminary Final didn’t fall our way, with Deakin Gold taking the win 13–2 after a huge 10-run seventh inning blew the game open.

But that final score doesn’t tell the story of the season this group has had.

The Titans battled right through, with Andrew Fereday throwing six innings, striking out six. Offensively, Christopher Lansdown, Josh Boyer, Scott Weaver, Daniel Patterson, Andrew Fereday and Xavier Stirrat all collected hits, while Boyer drove in a run.

And the boys certainly weren’t afraid to run! 💨 The Titans racked up 8 stolen bases, with Lansdown and Boyer stealing multiple bags, while the defence turned an impressive three double plays. 🔥

While our finals run ends here, there’s plenty to celebrate about this winter.

Another incredible commitment to the Titans. While the results didn’t always go our way, watching every player develop throughout the season is a huge testament to the time, effort and belief you’ve put into this group.

🖤 To Andrew, thank you for stepping up and taking on the manager role whenever Ray was unavailable. That takes a huge commitment on top of playing each week — and another massive congratulations on being recognised for your outstanding season by taking home the GBA Division MVP! 🏆👏

And finally, to every player, family member and supporter — THANK YOU.

You turned up week after week and helped make this season exactly what Titans baseball should be:

We welcomed a bunch of new players into the club this winter. Building a team, learning how everyone plays and finding that connection takes time — which makes reaching the finals an achievement this group should be incredibly proud of.

CALLING ALL BAT GIRLS & BOYS!

We're inviting girls and boys aged 7-12 to join the 2027 MWBT as a bat girl or bat boy. Do you have a young one who loves the game and wants to get involved with a team throughout the tournament?

Bat girls and bat boys will all be allocated to a team and receive a team shirt and tournament goodie bag.

We'd love to see some young girls and boys involved in the tournament in January. Tournament dates are - Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th, Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th, and the event will be hosted by the Springvale Lions Baseball Club.

I think we can all agree that Tiny has been an absolute backbone of this team this season.

From getting on the mound week in, week out, to cracking the ball over the fence — (and yes Tiny, I’m sure that foul home run still counts in your head 😂💣) — to stepping up and taking on the manager role when Ray was absent, he has done whatever the team needed.

His commitment, leadership and contribution to the Titans certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed — not only by his teammates and the club, but by the Geelong Baseball Association, with Tiny being named GBA MVP! 🏆

An incredibly well-deserved recognition after one heck of a season.

Congratulations Tiny! We couldn’t be prouder! 🏆🧡🖤

Unfortunately, Saturday didn’t go our way, with Guild taking the win 12–2.

The Titans opened the scoring in the first, with Christopher Lansdown singling home a run, but Guild answered strongly with seven runs in the bottom half and put us on the back foot early.

⚾ Andrew Fereday struck out four across three innings on the mound.
⚾ Christopher Lansdown, Mark McDonald, Josh Boyer, Zachary Crimmins, Ray Isaac and Andrew Fereday each collected a hit.
⚾ Lansdown and Boyer each drove in a run.
⚾ The Titans kept the pressure on the bases with five stolen bases, including two from Lansdown.

It wasn’t the result we wanted — but our season isn’t over yet. 👊

Next week the Titans return to the diamond with a second chance to keep our finals campaign alive.
