The Melton Racing Pigeon Club is pleased to announce that our Annual Club Race – The Melton Classic will be flown from Mildura next Sunday, 30 August 2026, weather permitting.

MELTON CLASSIC PIGEON RACE – RESUMPTION NOTICE

The Melton Pigeon Racing Club wishes to advise all eligible flyers that the Melton Classic pigeon race will resume as scheduled on Sunday, 30th August 2026, weather permitting.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – MELTON CLASSIC

The Melton Racing Pigeon Club wishes to inform all members and participants that the Melton Classic Pigeon Race, scheduled for Sunday 29th August 2026, has been temporarily postponed due to current bird flu restrictions.

Once these restrictions are lifted and racing is permitted to resume, the race will be rescheduled, with a minimum of two weeks’ notice to ensure participants have adequate time to prepare and train the birds.

If pigeon racing is unfortunately unable to continue for the remainder of the season, the Melton Classic will instead be expanded to include two races next year: a 2-Year-Old Race and a separate Young Bird Race.

We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.

In the meantime, we sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support during this challenging period.
