What a fantastic day of junior tennis yesterday! 👏🏽🎾

A huge congratulations to Port Moresby Racquets Club and Tournament Director Eddie Israel Mera on successfully hosting the 2nd ITI Junior Tennis Tournament. It was wonderful to see a great turnout and to have players from across the club and our Tere-Apisah Tennis Academy come together to compete, challenge themselves and enjoy some great competition.

We are incredibly proud of all our academy players who competed and came away with medals! 🏅👏🏽 Your hard work, commitment and willingness to compete continues to make us so proud.

But a special congratulations goes to three of our newer academy players — Evelyn Hayes and Dorothy in Orange Ball, and Anna Shaw in Yellow Ball — who competed in their “first-ever” tennis tournament! 🎾❤️

Taking that first step onto the tournament court is a big achievement. We are so proud of you for having the courage to participate, compete, play multiple matches and give it your all. And to come away with medals makes it even more special! 🏅🥰

Although the girls' draws were smaller in numbers, it was fantastic to see the girls out there competing, getting valuable match experience, playing several matches and showing that they belong on the tournament court. 💪🏽🎾

For us, it's not always about the results & medal — it's about having the courage to step up, compete, learn, grow and enjoy the game. And yesterday, our girls did exactly that. ❤️

We are SO proud of you all! Keep playing, keep competing and keep believing in yourselves. This is just the beginning! 🇵🇬🎾

A huge congratulations to Violet Apisah on an incredible win this week at the UTR tournament in Brisbane 👏🏽

Violet has officially started her journey on the professional circuit, securing her first WTA point after qualifying for her very first ITF W15 in Brisbane just last week. 💪🏽🔥

This is only the beginning, and we couldn’t be more proud of you!

We look forward to following your journey on the professional circuit as you continue to grow and represent PNG 🇵🇬 with pride.

Huge Congratulations to Violet Apisah on winning the finals today at the UTR Pro Tennis Tour Womens 01 event in Brisbane.
Violet came through a tough match to defeat her opponent in 3 sets in just under 3 hours!

Looking forward to more great tennis in the coming months from this young lady, as she starts her pro tour journey.

We wish you well in this next phase of your tennis journey.

We’ve made it half way through the term 💪🏾 Welcome to week 5. Another strong start to the week.

Congratulations to all our players and families who’ve stuck with us since week 1, well done 👏🏾 And welcome to our new players, so excited to welcome you all for the remaining 5 weeks of the term.

Week 4 has officially commenced yesterday, Monday 27th July. It was another fantastic afternoon on the courts! 🎾

It was so exciting to welcome so many new faces, especially in our Liklik (Toddler) Tennis and Red Ball programs. We had a total of 15 players in our 3:15- 4:00 pm sessions, with 9 liklik kumuls (toddler tennis) and 6 Red Ball kumuls players. We had 4 new players join us for the very first time. Welcome to the Tere-Apisah Tennis Academy family! 💙

Our Orange Ball group had 7 players, and we were thrilled to welcome the first boy to the group! Welcome Manuel 👋🏾 We also loved seeing our regular Green Ball players continue to build their skills and confidence each week.

A special welcome back goes to one of our top juniors, Adelaide Mesa, who returned to our Yellow Ball group after may months away from the courts. It’s always wonderful to see familiar faces back on court and continuing their tennis journey.

Seeing both returning players and new families joining our program is incredibly encouraging, and we’re grateful for the continued support from our tennis community.

We’ll be back on court this Wednesday as usual, and we can’t wait to see everyone again for another fun afternoon of learning, improvement, and smiles! 🎾💪
