Maciu Vosa was left quadriplegic after an on field accident whilst representing the Melbourne Harlequin Rugby Union Club on March 21 2015. The Maciu Vosa Trust Fund was established to raise financial support, and promote awareness of Maciu's situation.

This year isn’t done with me yet after all the setbacks I been through in the last few months. This morning I had an appointment with the Othorpaedic surgeon at the Repat Campus Hospital regarding the cause of pain in my right shoulder over the past 8yrs.
-Back in 2018 on our way back from our Fiji holiday, I was dropped off the ramp at the back of the maxitaxi outside Tullamarine airport
So today finally I’ve been told that I’ll be back in Austin for a surgery in the coming weeks to fingers crossed help solve the pain. It will require 3 weeks in a sling and 3-4months for a full recovery.
Year 2026 you beauty. The journey that keeps on giving. As always for me just stay positive and trust the process to , & .

Matty was honoured to be asked again to speak & present the Quins 1st XV team with their 2026 Maciu Vosa “Away” jersey before the 1st game of the season today.
(Secretly loved that Brock gave him instructions not to waffle on! 🤣)
This is Matty’s 11th season supporting his beloved Quins from the sidelines, and the 11th Season the Quins have supported us.
