⚡Frequency Friday⚡
Well, this week's Frequency Friday is coming to you from Townsville, Queensland, after I've just spent a few gorgeous days over on Magnetic Island - or Yunbenun, its traditional name.
And with a name like Magnetic Island, of course my frequency brain was always going to get curious.
The island was given its English name by Captain James Cook in 1770 after he noticed what appeared to be an unusual effect on his ship's compass as he sailed past. He believed there may have been something magnetic about the island interfering with the instrument, although later investigations haven't found anything particularly unusual about the island's magnetic properties.
But it got me thinking.
Because a compass is designed to pick up a signal and orient itself accordingly. If something influences that signal, even slightly, the reading can change.
And aren't we a little bit like that too?
What’s Influencing Your Internal Compass?
We're constantly receiving information from the world around us. Sounds, people, environments, conversations, stress, emotions, technology, nature, and everything else we're exposed to become part of the enormous amount of sensory information our nervous system is processing every day.
At the same time, our body has its own internal rhythms and electrical activity. Our heart beats through electrical signalling, our brain communicates through electrical and chemical activity, and our cells maintain electrical gradients across their membranes.
So when I talk about us having an internal compass, I'm not suggesting there's literally a tiny magnetic needle spinning around inside us. It's simply a great way of thinking about how we continually receive, interpret and respond to information.
And sometimes, with so much external noise going on, it can become harder to hear our own signal.
When the Signal Gets Noisy
Think about those times when you're tired, stressed, overloaded or have a million things going on. It can become much harder to know what you actually want, what feels right or even what your body is trying to tell you.
Then you go for a walk, get outside, sit near the water, switch off the phone or simply give yourself some breathing space and suddenly things can feel clearer.
Nothing outside you necessarily changed.
The noise simply reduced enough for you to hear yourself again.
That's one of the reasons I'm so interested in frequency, vibration and energy. Not because there's one magical frequency that fixes everything, but because different forms of sensory and energetic input can influence how we experience our internal state.
And the same input won't necessarily affect everybody in exactly the same way.
Your Signal Is Unique to You
Two people can be in exactly the same environment and experience it completely differently. One person may find a busy room exciting and energising while another feels completely overloaded. One person loves loud music while another needs quiet. One person feels instantly calmer beside the ocean while someone else prefers being surrounded by trees.
The environment might be the same, but the person receiving the information isn't.
This is something I see in my frequency work too. People can present with similar symptoms or concerns, yet the patterns showing up underneath can be completely different.
That's why I'm less interested in putting people into boxes and much more interested in asking: What's your body communicating right now?
For me, frequency work is about becoming a detective of our own body - noticing the patterns, listening to the information and becoming curious about what's really going on beneath the surface.
Because frequency can sometimes help us Reveal to Heal.
What Is Your Body SAYING?
This is also the idea behind my Personal Resonance Assessment.
Using a short recording of your voice as an input, I explore the frequency and resonance patterns showing up for you at that particular point in time across the physical, energetic and emotional layers.
It's another lens through which we can become curious about the bigger picture rather than focusing only on the issue we think we have.
You'll receive a personalised Resonance Assessment Report explaining your results in easy-to-understand language, along with a personalised frequency track created from your findings to support balance and coherence.
Because sometimes we don't need more outside noise telling us what we should be doing.
We need to get quiet enough and curious enough to listen to our own signal.
So thank you, Magnetic Island, for this week's little frequency rabbit hole.
Maybe it didn't interfere with my compass, but it certainly got me checking mine.
Trust. Believe. Allow.
Conscious. Coherence. Connection.
