We handed out the 25,000,000th finish token at parkrun Australia today — a huge milestone that stretches all the way back to our first ever event at Main Beach parkrun on the Gold Coast, on 2 April 2011. 🌳

If you've walked or ran a parkrun in Australia, thank you for being part of this moment! 🎉

Did you parkwalk, run or volunteer today? ⬇️

All set to go for tomorrow.

We had some legends stick up their hand to fill our vacant core roles.
If you’ve got some availability over the coming weeks we’d really appreciate some new faces filling our core roles. Have a chat to the Run Director tomorrow and pop your name down ☺️ let’s help share the load to ensure our wonderful event is sustainable.

7:30am Volunteers 🦺
7:50am First Timers & Visitors Welcome with Carly, followed by the main brief with RD Al.
8am parkrun start 🌳 🏃🏼‍♀️🚶‍♀️

📣 Second Volunteer call out 📣
We are still after the following to conduct a safe event next weekend 11th July:
🏷️ Finish Tokens
📱 Barcode Scanner
We require these above positions filled at a bare minimum to conduct an event. We also have a 📸 Photographer vacancy which is a nice to have spot.

All positions are super easy to do and training is provided. Volunteering is an integral part of the longevity of our parkrun. If you haven’t volunteered before or haven’t in a while we’d love to hear from you.

Are you new to parkrun or thinking about signing up and coming along?

We love newbies and seeing our parkrun community grow, however we want to make sure that we are helping keeping you safe by having your details online if required in an unlikely case of emergency, medical issue or incident.

And we also like to make sure that you have your result recorded correctly.

To have your result recorded, you need to register before your first event.
You only ever need to do this ONCE.
After you have registered, you bring your barcode each week to have it scanned by the wonderful barcode scanner/s.
You give back the plastic Finish Token.

You can either have a hard copy of your barcode printed or have it on your device.

Below is the link to register if you need to register

https://www.parkrun.com.au/register/

We hope to see you at a parkrun soon.

📣 Final call for 4th July 📣
Last call for another Barcode Scanner so we can run a safe and effective event. Role is super easy in the parkrun volunteer app and surrounded by great vibes.

We will make a call Thursday 7pm. We hope to hear from you 🫶🏻

***Update - just need one more barcode scanner for this weekend. If you’re a fast runner, you can also do the course then vest up and scan so both a participant and volunteer credit.

3rd callout for this weekends event.
We must have these final 3 roles filled. If you can help we’d love to hear from you. Comment below, send us a DM or email [email protected]
