Behind every strong league is someone carrying the weight that most people never see.

Nick Lundh has been a driving force behind the growth of amateur combat sports in Australia, bringing a lifetime of experience, leadership and passion into the development of athletes, clubs, officials and events across the country.

As President of the Victorian Amateur Boxing League, Nick plays a major role in making sure the pathway is there for fighters to compete, develop and progress properly. From the planning, the rules, the registrations, the officials, the matchups, the opportunities and the standards expected on event day, Nick is one of the key people helping keep everything moving behind the scenes.

His contribution goes far beyond one title or one position. Nick has been instrumental in the foundation and growth of ANABA, helping create more opportunities for amateur boxers nationally, while also supporting pathways that give Australian athletes the chance to compete on bigger stages, both around the country and internationally.

The work that happens behind closed doors often goes unnoticed, but it is what makes the sport stronger. Nick’s commitment is not just to events but it is to the athletes, the gyms, the coaches, the officials and the future of amateur boxing.

Good luck to Dan Hoolahan traveling to Tahiti next week to fight in the Maco Nena Championship. Has sparred regularly with Oliver Parker who won the title in 2024 for his preparation as well as sparring many other boxers from Lightning Fight Centres. No doubt Dan will do Australia and the League proud

Kids classes return Tuesday, April 21st, at 5pm

Plenty of space is available for new kids, which helps with focus, discipline and fitness in a fun friendly environment.

Casual lessons are only $15.00 and all the kids need is sports clothing. We supply everything you may need, including boxing gloves and all the related equipment.

Fully qualified and licensed boxing coaches will teach genuine skills.

Train with a real boxing club, founded in 1985 by former World Champion Nick Lundh, that has coached hundreds of State, National and International Champions.
