I hear this all the time: ‘I give so much and get nothing back’. You feel that imbalance right in your bones.
The deeper issue you’re facing is having no reference point for reciprocity. You've been so busy giving that you genuinely don't know what to ask for in return. Your sacrifice cycle has completely erased the map for you. You've forgotten what a truly balanced relationship feels like.
You need to redraw that map, start a new plan, but you don't know where to start, right? It starts with identifying what you actually need to feel seen and valued. This is about your limits and your self-abandonment.
Tell me, what's one simple thing that would make a relationship feel truly reciprocal and balanced to you? Let's build a new map together.

You keep telling yourself you'll get to it. You'll prioritise yourself when things calm down, or when things aren't so busy at home. You think you're being responsible by waiting for the 'right' time. For years, I believed this too.
But this waiting game is self-abandonment disguised as patience. Each time you say 'later', you put yourself at the bottom of your own list again. You pretend 'someday' is a real place on the calendar. This pattern costs you.
The truth is, there's no perfect time. Only now. The cost of waiting is huge. It's another year of feeling resentful and worrying you're too far gone to change.
My work is built on one conviction: the only way to break the pattern is to take action. Even one small step proves to yourself you can skyrocket back to the top of your own list. It's how you start to feel like yourself again, confident and magnetic.
This is the work inside UNFILTERED. A year of deciding your time is now.

The unexpected lesson from your biggest win isn't just about what you achieved. It's often what you learned about yourself, especially when you felt like you weren't enough for safe, reciprocal relationships.
My whole life, I criticised myself. I never understood why I'd constantly sacrifice my own needs, especially in relationships. In 2021, a late diagnosis of ADHD and Autism shifted everything. It gave me the insight to understand those old patterns of self-abandonment. I felt a deep grief for the earlier versions of me. The self I was before understanding how to truly value myself. My healing journey deepened in 2023. I began to trust myself, setting new boundaries and living in alignment with what I actually needed.
When you truly understand your own patterns, you stop pretending for others. You start demanding reciprocity. That's when safe relationships become possible.
What shift in self-understanding helped you build relationships where you truly felt seen?

You know the boundaries you need. I see you ignore that gut feeling, time and again. 'I knew something was off but I ignored it, again' you tell yourself.
You keep saying yes when you mean no, then you resent everyone for it. This is caused by a deep lack of trust in your own judgment. You question if you even have the right to want what you want. You doubt your own worthiness.
That self-doubt makes you think boundaries are walls you have to fight. You see them as ultimatums. They're not. Boundaries are simply the outward expression of your own values. They show you trust yourself enough to live in alignment. They're your personal non-negotiables.
Setting them means you stand for something. You do it without rage or needing a perfect plan. That’s how you break the pattern, for good.
What one value will you honour with a clear limit this week?
