I hear this all the time: ‘I give so much and get nothing back’. You feel that imbalance right in your bones.

The deeper issue you’re facing is having no reference point for reciprocity. You've been so busy giving that you genuinely don't know what to ask for in return. Your sacrifice cycle has completely erased the map for you. You've forgotten what a truly balanced relationship feels like.

You need to redraw that map, start a new plan, but you don't know where to start, right? It starts with identifying what you actually need to feel seen and valued. This is about your limits and your self-abandonment.

Tell me, what's one simple thing that would make a relationship feel truly reciprocal and balanced to you? Let's build a new map together.

You keep telling yourself you'll get to it. You'll prioritise yourself when things calm down, or when things aren't so busy at home. You think you're being responsible by waiting for the 'right' time. For years, I believed this too.

But this waiting game is self-abandonment disguised as patience. Each time you say 'later', you put yourself at the bottom of your own list again. You pretend 'someday' is a real place on the calendar. This pattern costs you.

The truth is, there's no perfect time. Only now. The cost of waiting is huge. It's another year of feeling resentful and worrying you're too far gone to change.

My work is built on one conviction: the only way to break the pattern is to take action. Even one small step proves to yourself you can skyrocket back to the top of your own list. It's how you start to feel like yourself again, confident and magnetic.

This is the work inside UNFILTERED. A year of deciding your time is now.

If you're done settling, DM me the word UNFILTERED.

This is your reminder to stay in your lane.

Don’t concern yourself with what others are thinking or saying about you. It’s actually none of your business!

Giving others the time and energy when they are being negative towards you, only drags you down and drains your energy, raises your stress levels and accomplishes nothing.

Send this to someone that needs reminding of what truly matters.

You get to decide.
You get to steer that ship.
You get to navigate which way you’re turning.

Too many times I see clients giving their power away, getting stuck in that victim mentality, when the reality is that crappy things happened to all of us. It’s what we decide to do in that moment that can change the trajectory of your path.

Will you allow yourself to be stuck where you are or will you make choices that are fully aligned with the future version of you ,that you know you want to be?

What a beautiful morning at our August 2026 We Rise Networking Bendigo event.

Thank you to each and every one of you that came back and to our first timers!

You not only show up for yourself but also for the other women in the room and that’s the whole We Rise mission, to support and uplift each other.

There were some incredibly honest and vulnerable shares this month, about the challenges we carry as a collective being a woman wearing all the different hats: partner, mum, carer and everything in between.

Moments like that are exactly why these events matter.

A special thank you to our guest speakers, Chloe Elisabeth from Aligned Embodiment Pilates and Jannine Umana, for openly sharing their stories and journeys with such honesty and heart.

Thank you to our generous prize sponsors, Robyn Moar Nutrimetics, Amare Wellness with Robyn Moar, and a free reading from Jannine Umana.

A huge thank you to our photographer on the day, Angelika Waesch Photography, for beautifully capturing the connection and magic in the room and to the venue for hosting us, Hoo-Gah Cafe.

These events are about building genuine connections, supporting each other, and creating a community where women feel seen, heard, and encouraged. Proud to say we achieved that again this month ♥️

I can’t wait to see you all at our next networking event on Friday 25th September.

The unexpected lesson from your biggest win isn't just about what you achieved. It's often what you learned about yourself, especially when you felt like you weren't enough for safe, reciprocal relationships.

My whole life, I criticised myself. I never understood why I'd constantly sacrifice my own needs, especially in relationships. In 2021, a late diagnosis of ADHD and Autism shifted everything. It gave me the insight to understand those old patterns of self-abandonment. I felt a deep grief for the earlier versions of me. The self I was before understanding how to truly value myself. My healing journey deepened in 2023. I began to trust myself, setting new boundaries and living in alignment with what I actually needed.

When you truly understand your own patterns, you stop pretending for others. You start demanding reciprocity. That's when safe relationships become possible.

What shift in self-understanding helped you build relationships where you truly felt seen?

As a boundaries specialist who’s never once told a client to walk away from someone, here’s what I tell them instead when they say “I knew something was off.”

Saying yes when you mean no is cos you stopped trusting yourself. Somewhere along the way you stopped believing your own gut instincts cos you’re too busy overthinking everything.

That’s what turns boundaries into an internal fight in your head. A boundary is just your values, spoken clear and calm. Nothing else required, just a deep self trust.

What’s one value you’re honouring with a boundary this week? Comment below.

Comment PATTERN for the step by step process on what your values are and how to link those to your boundaries so you can start say No without the guilt.

You know the boundaries you need. I see you ignore that gut feeling, time and again. 'I knew something was off but I ignored it, again' you tell yourself.

You keep saying yes when you mean no, then you resent everyone for it. This is caused by a deep lack of trust in your own judgment. You question if you even have the right to want what you want. You doubt your own worthiness.

That self-doubt makes you think boundaries are walls you have to fight. You see them as ultimatums. They're not. Boundaries are simply the outward expression of your own values. They show you trust yourself enough to live in alignment. They're your personal non-negotiables.

Setting them means you stand for something. You do it without rage or needing a perfect plan. That’s how you break the pattern, for good.

What one value will you honour with a clear limit this week?

14/08/2026

I didn’t post for a week.

Not because I was busy. Not because I was “taking a strategic break.”

Because I hit my limit and I couldn’t function. Couldn’t get out of bed before midday. Couldn’t shower some days. Couldn’t show up.

Here’s what I know now that I didn’t know mid-spiral: capacity isn’t unlimited, no matter how many hats you think you can wear. And when you ignore that, your body reminds you.

So instead of pretending it didn’t happen, I sat with it. What’s actually draining me? What am I doing that isn’t mine to carry? That’s the question that got me moving again, not forcing myself back into the grind.

If you’re at the point where you want to throw the goals in the bin, telling yourself you’ve failed, trust me when I say, those feelings are telling you a clear message. Rest, reflect and reset, then keep going.

If you’re struggling, let’s normalise it, drop it in comments or send me a DM. We don’t have to do this alone.

Karen built the empire. The salon, the brand, the thing everyone was proud of.

Then one day she looked around and knew there was something more in her destiny.

If you’ve felt this and wondered, is this even what I want anymore, or did I just become good at performing it, it’s a sign to reevaluate and meet those crossroads where you’re at.

Karen’s journey from running a beauty empire to a full spiritual reset is the same story I hear all the time. The identity crisis isn’t a breakdown. It’s the first honest thing that’s happened in years.
