You have to celebrate the good days, but there’s always work to be done. We’re home from England and the training is underway for the next steps in our cricket future. Thanks for the supporting the journey so far, however there’s a long way still to go and we can’t way the share it with you!

The recent ICC Annual Conference has resulted in a lot of positive steps forward for the once contracted Afghanistan Women’s Cricketers. A new Taskforce structure, extended high performance funding and a view to include a representative team for 2030 T20 World Cup regional qualifiers. Lots of people to thank to get to this point. Everyone played a significant role. Thank you.

In a list of the cricket world’s most influential women by cricexec | the business of cricket we are proud to see some of Afghan women’s cricket biggest supporters front and centre. Congrats and more than deserved Clare Connor Alison Mitchell Isa Guha Mel Jones 👏🏽👏🏽

Having a voice is one thing, but being provided a platform to share it on and be heard means the world. We have been given a chance to share our story and hopes for the future, and we will continue to shout it from the rooftops!

The England tour has been a whirlwind of amazing experience races, and one of the most rewarding has been playing as a team.

These beautiful bats were designed and handmade by Shukria and her sister Halima, using traditional Afghan fabrics, embroidery and mirror work. They represent the beauty, culture and resilience of Afghanistan.
They wanted to create something that carries their identity beyond cricket. Every pattern reflects the rich heritage of Afghan craftsmanship, and the mirrors symbolize hope, strength, and the light that Afghan women continue to carry despite the challenges they face.
Gifting these bats is the team’s way of sharing a piece of Afghanistan with the people who have supported them and stood beside Afghan women.
