We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting an in-person information night with Will Clarkson from Platform Sports Management on Tuesday 1 September at 6.30 pm AEST at the MCC Pavilion, Beaumaris Secondary College. Will will be giving an overview of the US College Recruitment Pathway, as well as explain how Platform Sports Management can help athletes navigate this process.

MLA was established in 2025 to provide opportunities for junior lacrosse players to improve their lacrosse skills and give them the best chance of achieving their goals. We are very passionate about supporting our athletes and are excited that, through our partnership with Platform Sports Management, we are able to assist players who are thinking about playing lacrosse in the US college system.

Our MLA Elite Development Boys had an absolute blast last night playing the PLL Play Australia Experience team in a fast-paced and exciting Sixes game. The game marked a significant milestone for our MLA boys, because although they train together to improve their fitness and lacrosse skills, this is the first opportunity they have had to play together as a team. The evening was so much fun with a fantastic game followed by the chance to hang out with the PLL boys.

A huge thanks to Lynden Blackley and Tayne Evans for all their hard work in setting up the field, scoring and making us feel so welcome at Footscray Lacrosse Club. Thanks to Footscray Lacrosse Club for hosting this event. Thanks to Devon Townsend Devin Townsend and PLL Play for giving us the opportunity to play this amazing group of young American men.

A huge shout out to the coaches, Coach Chad, Coach Josh and Coach Trent from MLA and Coach Tom and Coach Ben from PLL Play, the referees Chris Gordon and Joe Sorack and of course all the wonderful parents for supporting our lacrosse boys. Special mention to Fran for making the Aussie inspired gift bags.

Introducing our MLA Elite Development Players who will be playing in the PLL Australian Tour team this Wednesday night at 6 pm at Footscray Lacrosse Club. With players from clubs all across the city, this team is a great representation of Melbourne lacrosse. We’re so excited to meet everyone on the PLL team!

We are so excited to share that our boys from MLA’s 2026 Elite Development Program will be playing a Sixes game against the PLL Australian Tour team on Wednesday 19th August at 6 pm at Angliss Reserve, home of the Footscray Lacrosse club.

A huge thanks to the people involved in making this opportunity happen, especially Lynden Blackley and PLL Play Thanks to Footscray Lacrosse Club for hosting this event. Such a fantastic way to grow the game in Australia.

We are really looking forward to meeting the PLL players and coaches on Wednesday night!
