Essendon Croquet Club

The Victorian Open GC Singles Championships were held last weekend, showcasing some outstanding croquet from players across the state.

Congratulations to Owen Dickinson (Essendon) on winning the Victorian Men's Singles Championship, and to Helen Gammon (Ivanhoe Park) on claiming the Victorian Women's Singles Championship.

Congratulations also to the runners-up, Shane Downie and Mary Tabrah, both from Traralgon, on their excellent performances throughout the tournament.

Well done to all competitors!

🎄✨ It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... in July! ✨🎄

Our Club Social Committee hosted a wonderful Christmas in July Morning Tea today.

With plenty of festive cheer, delicious treats, lots of laughter and great company, a wonderful time was had by all. It was the perfect opportunity for members to catch up, and enjoy the Christmas spirit, even if it is the middle of winter!

A huge thank you to our amazing Social Committee for once again putting together such a fun and welcoming event. Your hard work, and generosity are truly appreciated and help make our club such a special place.

Despite it being the middle winter, tonight was great weather for plenty of our members to get out and enjoy a few games of croquet.

A fresh start this morning.

Essendon Croquet Club proudly hosted the Drysdale, Essendon Cup today, with a fantastic day enjoyed by all. There were plenty of exciting and closely fought games played throughout the day, showcasing some great croquet.
Congratulations to Drysdale Croquet Club on taking home the cup in a very tight contest. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make it such an enjoyable day.

A fantastic weekend at Essendon Croquet Club for our GC Open Tournament!

It was a very successful event and great to see it so well enjoyed by everyone. Saturday delivered perfect playing conditions, while Sunday morning tested players with some wet and windy weather before clearing into a lovely afternoon.

A big thank you to the organisers and all Essendon members who contributed their time and effort to ensure the tournament ran smoothly.

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our working bee this morning. It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, and the effort put in by all involved really shows in how well our club is looking.

Your time and hard work make a real difference, and it’s what keeps our club such a great place to play and socialise.
