We’re incredibly excited to announce Kris Thompson as our new Senior Head Coach for the 2027 season! 🐂

Kris brings with him an impressive coaching background and a wealth of experience across multiple levels of football.

His coaching journey has included line Assistant Coach roles with both the Frankston Dolphins and Box Hill Hawks at VFL level, before returning to his home club, Springvale Districts, where he has enjoyed a highly successful and long-term coaching stint, helping build a strong culture and delivering multiple premierships along the way.

But it’s not just Kris’ football CV that impressed us.

Throughout the selection process, his passion for the game, his understanding of what it takes to build a successful and connected playing group, and his genuine commitment to developing players and people really stood out.

Kris’ philosophy is centred around culture, connection, development and clear standards, creating an environment where players enjoy their football, challenge themselves, get the best out of each other and feel like they’re part of something bigger than themselves.

While success on the field will always be the goal, Kris is equally focused on building a strong, unified playing group and a culture that people genuinely want to be part of.

We believe Kris is the right person to lead our senior program into its next chapter, and we couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds.

❤️🤍 SIGNED FOR 2027 - MASON RUSSELL 🤍❤️

A very exciting return to the Bull Pit! 🐂 We’re thrilled to welcome Mason Russell home to Karingal for the 2027 season.

Mason returns to the Bulls after an impressive stint at Springvale, where he was named Senior Runner-Up Best & Fairest in both 2021 and 2022, while also leading the club as Senior Captain from 2022–2025.

Prior to his time at Springvale, Mason made his mark at Karingal as an Under 18s Captain and Interleague representative, with more than 60 senior games of experience already under his belt.

We can’t wait to have him back in the red and white!

After finishing the home-and-away season as MINOR PREMIERS, our C Grade girls earned themselves a well-deserved week off last weekend.

Now, after watching on from the sidelines, it’s finally their turn to hit the court for the first time this finals series! 🔥🏐

This Saturday, the girls take on Red Hill in their Semi Final, with a spot in the Grand Final on the line. 👀
