Finishing on top of the ladder, Footscray United head into the Semi Finals full of confidence and momentum as they chase the premiership.

We are saddened to inform the Footscray United family of the passing of Jason Dyer after illness.

Jason played for FUCC from 1997 to 2006 as a junior and then later in the senior grades. He was known by his teammates to be a welcoming, calming and friendly presence, and he was a leader in the junior teams.

Jason won the under 12 champion player and White & Taylor medal in 1999/00 and the bowling average in the under 14s in 2001/02 before playing under 16s then moving into senior grades in 2005/06. He was a talented all rounder and a capable wicketkeeper.

Rest in Peace Jason. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jason’s parents Robbie and Margaret, and his entire extended family and network of friends.
