CLUB STATEMENT:
We are thrilled to announce that Sean Lester has been reappointed Senior Coach of the Unicorns for Season 2027.
In his first senior as Senior Coach, Sean has led the side to a finals campaign, with a top two position on the line in the final round of the season this weekend. His communication and motivation skills are clear to all, and we are excited to see the impact of these continue in to next year.

Congratulations to Nick McKinnon, who plays his 50th game for MHSOBFC this weekend.
Nick joined the Unicorns in 2024 and immediately slotted into the senior side. In what can only be described as an outstanding debut season, Nick won both the senior Best and Fairest and Players’ Player award, whilst also being recognised at league level by being named in the VAFA Division Two Team of the Year.
A tough and combative inside midfielder, 2025 saw Nick maintain his high standards, podiuming in the Best and Fairest while also captaining the Unicorns for the first time. In 2026 Nick’s leadership role was officially recognised with his appointment as club co-Vice Captain, and he has been instrumental as the seniors make their long-awaited return to finals.
Away from his tough on-field persona, Nick’s ready smile and willingness to participate in our community make him a much-loved figure at the club, and we look forward to many more games to come! Well done on your half-century, Pop-Up!
