💙 Vale Brian Clifford Porter 💙

It is with great sadness that the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association acknowledges the passing of Brian Clifford Porter, who passed away on 10 July 2026, aged 83.

Brian dedicated a lifetime to cricket, making a significant contribution both on and off the field.

🏏 Brian's cricket journey included:
• Premier Cricket with Richmond Cricket Club
• Sub-District Cricket with Box Hill Cricket Club and Glen Iris Cricket Club
• Player and Coach at Mitcham Cricket Club
• Player at Blackburn North Cricket Club
• Nearly 20 years as a respected BHRDCA Umpire
• Officiated an incredible 12 Ray McIntosh Shield Grand Finals
• Inducted into the inaugural BHRDCA Hall of Fame in 2025 in recognition of his outstanding service to our Association.

Brian was highly respected throughout the cricket community for his dedication, knowledge, fairness and passion for the game. His contribution to the BHRDCA and Victorian cricket will be remembered for many years to come.

On behalf of the Board, clubs, players, officials and volunteers of the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association, we extend our sincere condolences to Brian's family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in Peace, Brian. Your legacy will forever be part of the BHRDCA story. 💙🏏
