It’s hard to believe ELEV8 has turned 2!

Starting ELEV8 was a leap of faith, and in such a short time it's grown into something even better than I ever imagined. That's only been possible because of the incredible people who've supported me along the way. To everyone who's trusted me, every person who's referred us, had a chat, or simply believed in what we're building – thank you. It genuinely means more than you'll ever know.

It's never lost on me that I get to spend every day doing what I love, helping great business owners grow, solve problems, and achieve their goals while building relationships with amazing people.

The first two years have been an incredible ride, and while it feels like we've come a long way, I know we're only just getting started.

Thanks for being part of the journey.

One of the biggest shifts a business owner can make is moving from being the technician to thinking like the owner.

That's why I start every week with a simple 10-minute planning session.

Here's the routine:

Review your business - not just your workload.
Ask yourself: What happened last week? What patterns am I seeing?

Choose one improvement.
Not another task. Not another fire to put out.
One thing that will make the business work better, even when you're not involved.

Protect time to work ON the business.
Block out time in your calendar for strategy, systems, marketing, or developing your team. If it's not scheduled, it rarely happens.

Focus on your role as the owner.
Instead of asking, "What do I need to get done today?" ask, "What does my business need from me this week?"

Businesses grow when their owners stop reacting and start designing.

Every Monday is an opportunity to build a business that is more organised, more scalable, and less dependent on you doing everything.

Spend 10 minutes planning like the Boss, not the busiest employee.

Running jobs, managing paperwork, chasing appointments, quoting work - it adds up quickly.

And for a lot of business owners, the challenge isn’t effort. It’s trying to carry everything at once.

A new year has a way of pulling us straight into action - goals, plans, expectations, momentum. But before the pace sets in, it’s worth stepping back and asking a different question:

What kind of leader do I want to be this year?

Working with business owners across many industries, one pattern shows up again and again. The most effective leaders aren’t just reactive - they’re deliberate about where they place their attention and how they manage their energy.

So I’ve been encouraging a simple reset with ELEV8 clients - something you can do in a few minutes:

• What should I be doing more of:
Clear priorities, better systems, stronger boundaries, time to think.

• What should I be doing less of:
Constant urgency, unnecessary complexity, saying yes out of habit, carrying everything alone.

And looking ahead - if you reached the end of this year and felt it was a solid year (not perfect, just solid), what would you be proud of in how you led, decided, and showed up?

There’s no worksheet or perfect answer here. Just intention.

Because business growth doesn’t only come from smarter strategy - it comes from consistent leadership, calm decision-making, and the standards you reinforce every day.

Set the direction early. The results tend to follow.

As we start to wrap up the year, we want to say thank you to all the incredible businesses - and more importantly, the people - we’ve had the privilege of working with in 2025. Your support, commitment, and drive to keep improving is genuinely inspiring.

Alongside working closely with so many great teams day-to-day, we’ve loved hosting our Quarterly Growth Hub workshops. The conversations, the ideas, and the practical wins shared in those rooms have been a real highlight.

And to everyone who joined us for our Client Christmas Golf Day last week - thank you for the laughs. Some swings were impressive, others… character-building. But all up, it was a fantastic way to close out the year.

On a personal note, it’s pretty incredible to look back and realise ELEV8 is only 18 months in. The friendships made, the businesses we’ve seen grow, and the variety in what we get to do each day has been extraordinary. It’s a privilege to be part of your journey, and likewise you with mine.

Appreciate you all, and we’re excited to support even bigger growth with you in 2026.
