Home of the RMIT Redbacks We know that all study and no play isn’t any fun, so we offer students the opportunity to keep fit and active.

RMIT Active offers RMIT Students, Alumni, Staff and Community members a massive amount of activities, teams, competitions, programs and clubs to get involved with. We have over 40 Sport clubs to choose between, from traditional sports like Soccer to Waterski & Wakeboard. The RMIT Redbacks sport teams compete in the UniSport Nationals events. RMIT Social Sport offers students and community members an array of participation driven activities and events.

TENNIS TEAM FOR NATIONALS HAS LANDED🎾

The RMIT Tennis Men’s and Women’s teams are back once again to compete at this years Uni Nationals in Perth!

Our Men’s team has had some struggles in recent years competing but they are adamant that this is going to be a strong year of competition this year!

As for our Women’s team, after JUST missing out on a medal last year they are back and out for redemption with a medal in the forefront of their minds.

We have Head Coach John Guanzon joining our athletes this year and we are super stoked about it 🔥

Build confidence, improve your strength, and train in a supportive environment with our revamped 4-week Women’s Small Group Strength Training Program — now with the added bonus of a free post-session food voucher after each session courtesy of RUSU.

This program is exclusively for women, and is led by a qualified female personal trainer, ensuring a comfortable, inclusive, and empowering space to train.

Designed with a more personalised approach, sessions are delivered in small groups (4 participants to 1 trainer) — giving you the individual attention, guidance, and support needed to get the most out of every workout.

Whether you’re new to strength training or looking to build on your current routine, this program is suitable for all fitness levels.

The sessions are on every Wednesday from September 9th to September 30th and are available at:

Learn the basics of Para Ice Hockey. Open to beginners, disabled, and able-bodied participants, with all equipment provided.

Attend a training session at O’Briend Icehouse. Get on the ice and experience one of the world’s most exciting adaptive sports. Limited places available.

• All para ice hockey equipment provided
• Suitable for beginners and experienced players

DID SOMEONE SAY LACROSSE NATIONALS TEAM RELEASE TIME??? OH YEAH, THAT WAS US 🫢🥍

Lacrosse are back and ready to make a Gold Medal match for like the billionth year in a row.

After an insane match against Melbourne Uni last year they are ready to…you guessed it - BITE BACK and bring home GOLD.

This team has some new faces but there is one specific icon we are welcoming back and that is Govind! Who returns as not only one of our Redbacks Captains for 2026 but also our dedicated vloggers (govind vlogs ifykyk).

Joining this team as a Head Coach after have been a Redback back in the OG days is Lacrosse legend Jayden Smith.

This team is always providing silly content throughout the week, so if you don’t want to miss that make sure you are following RMIT LACROSSE CLUB on Instagram as well as RMIT Active to keep up to date with how they’re going with daily score updates.

THE OFFICIAL 2026 RMIT UNI NATS ULTIMATE FRISBEE TEAM…

The Ultimate Frisbee team are back once again to compete at this years Uni Nationals in Perth!

After a little bit of a RUF (🥲) 2025 Nationals this team is ready to and secure a medal for RMIT.

This team welcomes back a bunch of iconic athletes from Reagan Turner to Redbacks Captain Liv Hanrahan.

Spearheading this team is one of our favorite coaches, the one and only Simon Talbot!

You definitely aren’t going to want to miss out on the action of this team. They are known for being an entertaining bunch on and off the field with their athleticism and tiny mic shenanigans.

We are so happy to have some golfers repping the Redbacks again at Nationals after taking a year off in 2025.

These two are ready to TEAR UPPPP the golf course together in Perth.
