CONGRATULATIONS to our Section 1 Ladies on winning the Memrlta Grand Final yesterday.
It was a very close match with the score being 3 sets all ...... 34 games to 29 games.

Some of our Mid week ladies celebrated the end of season dinner last night 🙌🏼🎾

Despite it being a cold, wintery Thursday morning with the courts being too wet to play tennis, some of the ladies enjoyed getting together in the warmth of the clubhouse to share a coffee and a chat.
We thought we would jump on this trend of dressing up like our tennis racquets. 😁🙌🏼 Thank you to all the ladies for adding some colour and fun !

Some of our Midweek Men's comp teams have just played in grand-finals. Details are:
Thursday Afternoon Metro Masters - Our Section 1 team GWTC FORZE (captain Tony Meggs) were runner-up to a strong Kooyong team (see photo of our team).
Also, our Section 3 team GWTC FIVES played in a very close grand-final match - won by Royal Park on a deciding tie-break!
Wednesday Morning WDTA - Our Section 1 teams GWTC ACES (captain Tim Chrisfield) played GWTC STARS (captain Tony Meggs) this morning - with ACES coming out on top 5 sets to 1 (see photo of the 2 teams).
Well done to all GWTC teams that made the finals and congratulations to ACES.
Just a reminder that GWTC has MWM social tennis each Monday morning and also each Wednesday morning - until the new WDTA comp season start in late July.
How beautiful do our gardens always look 🙌🏼💚 We are so lucky to have wonderful people like Jan and Marieta spending time almost every Monday morning keeping our gardens looking great. In recent times we are also lucky that Ron has helped so much with the lawns and also giving the ladies a helping hand.
We could however use a little more help on a Monday. If anyone has some free time to help keep our club looking fabulous please message us.

Thank you to all the Mid week ladies past and present who enjoyed our beautiful morning tea today raising funds for the cancer council. Special mention to Barb for helping set up the flowers and also thanks to Laurice for the jokes and Wendy for her Pam Ayres poem 😄🤗
