Preston Lions take on Altona Magic, with both clubs sharing a rich history, passionate supporters and generations of families who have played an important role in building our football and Macedonian communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our 2026 Soccer Mums Program, proudly delivered in conjunction with Get Active Darebin!

We’re incredibly grateful for the support, enthusiasm and positive energy throughout the program, with 30+ registrations across the sessions. It’s been fantastic seeing so many people getting involved, building connections and enjoying football together.

We’ll be reaching out via email to all participants shortly with information about an extended training period for those who would like to continue their football journey with us.

A big thank you again for being part of the program and to our Course Delivery from NPLW Captain, Valentine Pursey. We hope to see you back on the pitch! 🙌⚽️

⚽️ BUILDING BETTER ATHLETES, ON AND OFF THE PITCH 💪🥗

A massive thank you to our Head of Performance, Sharbil, and Accredited Dietitian, Brooke from Physio Health, for delivering an excellent sports nutrition session to our VYSL and JGNPL Academy players!

For young academy athletes, development is about far more than what happens during training and match day. Nutrition, recovery, strength & conditioning, sleep, preparation and mindset all play a critical role in helping players perform, adapt and develop to their full potential.

Our Academy program is committed to providing players with a holistic athletic development environment - giving them the knowledge, habits and support required to understand what it takes to perform consistently at a higher level.

Sessions like this help our players understand not only what to eat, but why nutrition matters, how it supports training and recovery, and how the small decisions away from the pitch can have a major impact on performance on it.

This is what academy football is about - developing the whole athlete.

To all of the amazing supporter who continue to believe and show up. With almost 7000 in attendance on a Wednesday night v South, our club continues to grow and showcase our capability to deliver an incredible game day experience with the most passionate supporters in the game.

The excitement continues as we move onto the Macedonian Derby v Altona Magic this Saturday, the NPL FINALS and the Australian Championship in October.
