Not roughly. Not a gut feel. Actually know them.
Know what it costs you to open the doors every morning before youâve swung a hammer.
Know your real margin on every job, while youâre building it, not six months later when the moneyâs already gone.
Know if youâre actually making a profit or just turning over a lot of money and going backwards.
Because hereâs the truth. Most builders I help are flat out, busy as hell, turning over millions, and dead broke underneath it.
They donât have a building problem. Theyâve got a numbers problem.
The day you stop guessing and start knowing your numbers is the day everything will change.
